Does the campground have any rules against the use of small fridges being plugged in at your campsite. We are going to be down for 10 nights and there is no way to pack everything in the camper fridge. We have a small dorm fridge we use sometimes to keep bottled water and some food, but some campgrounds frown on this. Just let me know your experience with this. Thanks

As long as it plugs into their outlets, I don't see them having a problem. You should see what some DIS'ers do at Christmas with the outlets. It is insane.

Or if it plugs into your camper outlet. I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

Keep in mind your fridge will be subject to my random inspection. I reserve the right to confiscate any beer and/or good leftovers.

We always have a little fridge plugged in, sitting on or next to the picnic table, inside the screen tent! :)

Here is the actual rule as printed on the Fort Wilderness Campground "Rules" Handout under the "Camping Equipment" section about 3 paragraphs down:

"Refrigerators or Electric Style Coolers are allowed as long as they meet the following guidelines:

Must be "White" in color.
Can be no larger then 28" x 72" and no smaller than 12"x27".
Must be kept at rear of "Trailer", "MotorHome", "PopUp", ot "Tent".
No "Alcoholic Beverages" are to be stored in refrigerator unless locked.
Only "ONE" refrigerator/electric cooler allowed per campsite.
If a refrigerator/electric cooler is on the campsite then no more
than "TWO" additional, non-powered coolers may be kept on the campsite.
If acloholic beverages are to be kept in the refrigerator/electric cooler
it can only be Beer and must be "JWD Honey Brown Brand" only. There are
no exception to this rule.

Anyone not abiding by these rules will be asked to leave. A prorated refund will be granted for any remaining days left on the booked campsite."

I think they are pretty strict regarding that last rule but not sure.

On one trip I saw a apartment sized one outside a camper, they also had large tables and stove setup. It was a large group. It was there for our whole stay ( 10 Days ).

Go figure, I joined this forum because I thought it was so friendly and almost immediately someone is going after my beer stash.:lmao: That is low down and dirty.:rotfl:

I think they let you set your site up how you want. Here is a site form a trip a few years ago

We have actually had 3 fridges on our site & no problems:

1 - In motor home

1 - In bay of motor home

1 - Small fridge on picnic table. (Small fridge held beer solely for NTSammy5. Yes, I am a great sister!!)

We have a bar size fride we keep on the table outside. Our new trailer has a fold out 2 burner stove so now I can do all my cooking outside and have the supplies in the fridge right next to me. If you look in my sig you can just barely see it set up.

It's funny .. I never even noticed that they had a fridge rule!! I wonder what other rules they have that I do not know about!! LOL
