I went to the salon today to get my eyebrows done and my usual lady wasn't there. I needed them done BADLY, so I went with another lady even though I've heard bad things about her before.

They look AWFUL. I just have a surprised expression on my face because of them. They have become a thin line and my eyebrows are usually very thick. I'm just crying. I don't know what to do! My friends think they look okay and that I am the only one who notices it but I just HATE them. I have a wedding to go to tonight and just..ugh!

Get an eyebrow pencil and fill them in a little. I'm sorry... It sucks. Been there.

Oh I'm so sorry!
I've had that happen - there are kits that have brushes and an eyeshadow like kit to fill them in. (NYX and Benefit to name a few). An associate at Ulta or Sephora (or any makeup counter) can show you how. Sometimes those look a little better than a pencil!
Again - I'm so sorry - I've been there and it is so upsetting!

The first time I got my eyebrows waxed I had the same reaction. It was just so different than what I was use to seeing in the mirror, that I thought it looked awful. Everyone I talked to about it said they loved the new look. After a couple of days I got use to the difference and no longer jumped every time I looked in the mirror.

I have had that happen! I got to a local nail salons where tis 6 bucks to get your eyebrows waxed. I'd say 90% of the time they come out great. But every now and then, yikes. Get a pencil and fix them.

Filling them in may make you feel better, but look bad. I would have hem fill them in, or go natural. They may feels parse, but I am sure they look fine. Oh, did you ask for your money back so he gal learns not o do hem like she wants?
Have a fun time!

It could always be worse. My DD went to have hers done once. The person doing them said "woops". She had literally taken off over 1/2 of her eyebrow. OMG!!

Sorry OP.

I've never ever had my eyebrows done - ie professional or me. I'm feeling fortunate today. :goodvibes

Have a wonderful time at the wedding.

That happened to me about six weeks after my first baby was born. I was feeling fat and ugly and exhausted. I hadn't left DD's side at all and my DH insisted I at least go get a pedicure and relax. Decided to get my eyebrows done too and it was awful!!!!!! I started crying the second I looked on the mirror, cried while I paid, and cried all the way home. DH thought I had gotten a ticket or something when I walked in the door crying. Needless to say I found a new salon! DH loves to remind me to "be careful" every time I go get my eyebrows done now.

Sent from me.

I vote for a powder or creme to fill them in. It looks a lot more natural than using a pencil. Go to a makeup counter and have them do them for you. At this point, I think I'd just live with them until they grow in. Filling in sparse areas is one thing, but it takes someone really skilled to fill in so much and make them look even and natural.

The same thing happened to me the first time I had my eyebrows 'professionally' done. :scared: My eyebrows are naturally arched and didn't need to have much hair removed. The woman that did them went nuts though. :bitelip: That experience was bad enough that I've not allowed anyone else to touch my eyebrows since.

Have fun at the wedding!

I had my eyebrows done for the first time about a couple of months ago. Did not look to much different to me. I have big bushy eyebrows that I already trim with scissors.

Thanks! Yeah, I just tried practicing filling them in and it's not going well. :rotfl: I'll just go natural tonight. It's okay. :goodvibes

Thanks again everyone. :goodvibes

Some women love that look. :) Just pretend you're one of them and go have a great time at the wedding.

I did have a great time! No one seemed to notice my eyebrows so I didn't give them another thought once I walked out the door. :)

This is why I switched from waxing to threading. No 'oops' factor.
I've never had that happen to me but I was always nervous it would.

Happy to hear OP that the wedding was fun and that you had fun. :thumbsup2
