Rude South Americans

First off let me say I've been going to Disney (Orlando for almost 20 years.
Never in my Life would I of thought this would of happened but it did and I Am pissed off

Just got back July 5th -12th vacation Dis-Orlando
First Day Magic Kingdom. Immediately entering the park was greeted by a horde of neon green shirt wearing Brazilians who proceeded to trample anyone in their way . The wife an I stepped aside as we have a 10 year old girl and 7 yr old boy. Grabbed the Train to Splash mountain and Mine train. get off the train and grab fast pass to Mine train and get online for Splash mountain. While online Another group on Bright Neon Blue shirts is chanting. I felt like I was watching a Brazilian Soccer match. So loud we couldn't hear ourselves talking . My Son started to get upset and my daughter was actually scared. Well we get up to the final turn only to have some of that group jump ahead waiting on the fast pass line . Find that some of them are behind us . Suddenly they are passing us inline from behind us to catch up to the group . 25 or so . Now its a group of 50 plus. OHH and they all have to go on at the same time. Our entire line came to a halt. Now I'm really getting mad. Ok we let it go and go our ride. ,NEXT Day EPCOT , Whole day pretty good, Firework go off. Leaving the park we Find the same group running holding hands inline together and proceed to run in a straight line. The line starts to break right .MY DAUGHTER GETS RUN OVER AND TWO MORE STEP ON HER. Immediately grab her and push about 6 people out of the way . they come back at me as If I was wrong and start to throw fists. I'm a pretty big guy so I let the same go back . Now there are some down . No Disney security . These RUDE SOB's realize they are wrong and run . about 30 American's come to our aide. We go to the Photo pickup store and then security shows up. To my amazement I am told that Disney is aware of the issue and they are trying to get a handle on .. A HANDLE ON IT *** ..
While I Was there I had already purchased another 200 points to Animal Kingdom lodge.
Disney better do something about this and quick. PS I wasn't the only person complaining about this ,Including Employees who assisted my daughter who9 now has a good cut on her right cheek ....

Wow, that is a bit of a scary story. I hope that you all will have another trip and a better experience. We have not had quite that experience but we have been there when they had offered free dining to South American residents. All I will say is we experienced quite a bit of shananigans like this. Family's jumping in front of us, rudeness etc.

I am sure that it is just a few bad apples but it can certainly ruin a family vacation! Again, hope your kids weren't too traumatized and will want to return soon.

We will return .But through out the entire vacation we must of seen 30 separate groups
My research so far has made some things clear
They are all 15 yr olds going to 16 yrs of age
The groups a promoted as a right to passage when turning 16 yrs old
The ones that can afford to come to Disney are the top 1 percent wealthiest in that country.
They have a attitude of we owe them and we are low life's in there eyes or servants
I spoke with someone who is from Portugal and She explained the whole thing to me . It very scary .

I am so sorry to hear this. I really wish Disney would build a DL down there in S. America. Their culture is different than ours. My kids get over stimulated around the chanting and shear size of the groups.

I do think it is rude to walk in big groups like that, with no regard for other people. Then the chanting is ridiculous. Especially on busses. There is no reason for all that.

Disney does need to do something about this.

I can totally agree on this issue. Before anyone says "Oh but they're just enjoying themselves", keep in mind there's a thing called public etiquette, and a standard of decency. If you want to parade around in herds chanting and running about, go ahead and do it, just not in a theme park.

One time my sister and I were at MK for New Years and all of a sudden I saw an orange flag raise above the crowd, aka the signal that a stampede was upon us. In a matter of seconds we were in a moving mosh pit of tourists in those neon shirts rushing to that orange flag. Horrifying experience, but an experience none the less.

I just wish Disney would recognize that these large groups come through and can pose an issue. Not all are bad either, I've seen plenty of groups acting very civil and courteous, but it's always the few bad apples that spoil the bunch.

I hate the rudeness of these groups. First time I thought it was just the people in that one group, but more & more it seemed like it was a everyone thing for those groups and the polite people from those countries come on their own without a group.
Also has a similar issue with a high school football team from Texas because they seem to belive they are celebrities.

I have experienced some of this groups who feel they have a right to push pass you inline to get to another member from the same group way ahead.
Maybe Disney should have a limit on the size of the group.

We experienced the fifth-teens in Feb 2013. A very unruly bunch inducing their guides. More than one occasion the guides were seen inappropriately touching the girls throughout the park. I spoke with others who were at the same resorts and behavior was worse there. I knew I would be in the parks the same time as dance and cheer groups but not these ladies. Not a single complaint about the sports young ladies from me. I seen them many times throughout my stay and all were acting responsible. While the others ladies took over the ladies restroom near the people mover and would not allow anyone else in. They had it full of girls sleeping on the floor, doing hair and make up, while girls stood,sat and laid in the doorway so no one else could get in.

OK Lets not state what country of origins these groups are from, to get rid of those who believe that it is racist and just state that large groups of people have no right to chant so loudly that they are disturbing others and also make sure that they are no longer able to cut in line. Disney could stop this foolishness by making all groups have one Paid Disney Employee chaperone per 20 "park guests" NO CUTTING & NO OVERLY LOUD SINGING or CHANTING Allowed! BTW.................I have been in the park when groups such as this has completely ruined our vacation at Disney World

I don't see how it's racist. They weren't called dirty pigs, or any other slur. They were behaving poorly, and their origin was identified. It's a common issue with all groups, however this particular incident involved those visiting from South America.

Certainly no moreso than the dozens of other threads that complain about the Brazilian tour groups.

I've encountered them. They were definitely rude. Nothing terrifying or dangerous like OP, but they do impact the joy of your vacation. I left thinking I never want to step foot in Brazil. It's sad they are such a poor representation of their country.

I operate under the idea that every time you travel outside your country, you are a de facto representative. Try not to be the ugly American tourist and they should not be the ugly South American tourists.
