RSR FP strategy

whats a good time to pull a FP for RSR when the return time will be after dark but the FPs won't be out for the day? I realize this isn't an exact science, just looking for times that have worked for others in the past. This will be either March 7 or 8, 2017.

Monitor the return on the DL app.
I went in Dec so dark by 4pm, so my times not good for you.
Best guess is 11am-12pm after 12pm chances are FP are gone.

On a Saturday in July we got our FP around 1:30 for a return at 8pm. Like wongck said, it'll be best to just look at the DL app. I plan to check the app the week prior to our arrival to get an idea of when RSR FP run out, I think it'll give me the most accurate timeframe.

Depending on the crowds, and when the park opens, it is usually sometime between 11am to 2pm that they run out.
The best way to experience it is during early morning hours, but you need to stay at one of the hotels of course.

Today , according to touring plans they ran out at 12pm.

I have been trying to check the app, and I'm great about it early in the day. But by afternoon I'm caught up in work and forget to check (I'm two hours ahead).

Ok so grab by noon! I'm assuming at 10ish they'll be distributing for evening hours. We will see!!!!

Last time I was there at gate opening.. giving return times for 1.pm. which was at our lunch reservation time. I spoke to cast member they told me to stand to the side for about 5 minutes and the time quickly got to 4ish..

When I went during the week in Ooctober, there was an exceedingly long line to pull a RSR FP starting during MM, and all FP were gone by about 11am. Then in November, we walked right up to the RSR FP kiosk at 11:30 and pulled one for 5:40. My best advice, use the heck out of the app!

Where on the app does it show the return time for fast passes?

Click on the wait time of the ride you want...then click the actual ride itself...

It should say "Now Distributing x:xx PM - x:xx PM FASTPASS Tickets".

I wouldn't chance it past 10:30 am.... if you wait any longer you migh miss out all together.

Use the app, the approx time changes due to opening time, crowd level and closing times.
There is no good way of knowing it.
For the month of my visit, it was like 1st hour gave out 9-12pm, 2nd hr gave 12pm-3pm, 3rd hour gave the rest, 4th hour all gone.
