Which coincidentally seems to be BS Transport now ?? Have quoted us 95 euro each way for trip to DLRP from CDG :scared1: I think it's a bit steep but the other option with a toddler, baby, suitcases, puschair and 4 adults doesn't bear thinking about this time

I've asked (on email) about car seats for the baby & toddler but their answer hasn't come back that clear tbh.

Anyone else used them for babies and toddlers and found the car seats OK. I don't want to take any chances...

PS - Is that about the standard price? Looks like they charge per person (from their website link above) but think they are charging for the baby too :confused3

Thats cheap for the transfer, believe me.

The VEA would cost you not much less (its 17 euro per adult, 13 euro per child, each way).

A taxi would be way more than that.

You are being charged the standard price from bstransport for between 4 and 6 people, so you with your 4 adults, are being charged the same as me with my 3 adults and 3 children.

When I got my confirmation email from bs transport for the same journey, from CDG to DLRP one-way, this week, it had reduced to 90 euros, for 3 adults and 3 children.

Would we have to pay for the baby on public transport though? As you say though, putting it like that it's not so bad - and it is private I suppose.

Have you used their children's carseats at all Elaine?

Thanks :thumbsup2

I have used bs transport before with children - but my kids don't need car seats, so I can't help you with that one.

And the advantage of bs transport is no hanging about whatsoever - you'll be collected from your terminal exit, and you'll be whisked straight away to your Disney hotel - a journey of no more than 40 minutes door-to-door.

If you get the VEA, you may be on the bus for just over an hour.

That's a good deal. But that is also why with 4 of us I tend to just drive us to DLP. When travelling with kids though, Chauffer service makes life sooooo much easier.

Most of the time the car seats are ok, but not great (though I have not travelled with this one company). we take ours when we travel.

But, if that seems a bit much, a certainly would not recommend the DLH for you as I feel although great location, it is very overpriced compared to other options.

 Dave - I know what you mean about the DLH! I didn't actually think the private transfer through tbh and looking at it (as Diane put it) it's not a bad deal. We don't mind paying for things as long as the service etc is good which I'm sure BS will be.

Still undecided about the DLH or HNY but Mum wants to make a decision and book this weekend (and cancel the Marriott if we do of course!)...

Re the carseats - I have an old babyseat we could use (I wouldn't take my current one as it would probably be trashed in the hold) but DD1's seat is much bigger now (child seat as opposed to baby) so I wouldn't want to have that at the airport and in the hotel room etc....

Bumping up in case anyone else has used BS's children's/baby seats...? :confused3

Glad you laughed because as I reread, I realised my post may had come across as a little snotty (that was not my intention, just trying to help)

Patsy,

We just came back from DLP last week and we used BS Transports for our transfer from Beauvais.

We had our 6 month old baby boy and 4 year old son with us and had requested seats for them both.

On arrival at Beauvais we were met by a man with a sign with our name on it. He took us out to the waiting area and he then went to the car park to get the people carrier (think it was a VW?).

We were provided with a baby seat and a booster cushion - both were fine.

The only problem was when they picked us up for return journey they had forgotten the baby seat so 6 month old had to spend journey on Dads lap - which wasn't ideal!

I would definitely use them again - as other people have said the VEA shuttle is quite expensive and when we used it on a previous trip we had to wait over an hour for a bus as the first one that came couldn't take everyone that was in the queue!

Think the next time I would give BS TRansports a call the day before our return journey just to remind them about baby seats!!

Hope this helps!

Julie

Hi. We used this company in feb and have booked them again for our next trip. They had the appropriate seats on both journeys for our DS(3) and DD(7) and they were perfectly acceptable.

Not only is this not ideal it is breaking the law :rolleyes1
I recall someone else complaining about no car seat on the return. This is when you often have little choice because of the need to get checked in. Whereas if they forgot on arrival you could go to a rival transport company.

Think it is time for our recommended by DISers tag to be removed from the transport thread.

Thanks for the tip off about ringing them the day before - that is a good idea :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the seats were OK - I know it's a long shot of anything happening but better be safe and sorry.

Gosh I can't believe you had to travel with no carseat for the baby! That's terrible

I am the other person who had a problem with lack of car seats which I think I posted in one of my trip reports .

That said it was on one journey and I have had a number of others when thay have had the seats as requested.

I am travelling again with them tomorrow. This time from Beauvais. I sent them a reconfirmation email yesterday to remind them we required a car seat so hopefully it will be there.I'll let you know when I get back:)

Is the car seat law in France the same as in the UK ? :confused3 I'm surprised they are willing to take risks which could put them out of business.

Yes it is. Should give you a bit of bargaining power if they feel the need not to comply ;)

When we travelled with them to DLRP recently I noticed there was a child seat already in the luggage compartment. I've never seen this before so whether it was there ready for the next customer?

I have to say after our last trip where we had only one seat on the way to DLRP and none on the way back :sad2: BS/RS transport excelled themselves this time.:thumbsup2

They came to collect us at Beauvais with a selection of car seats so we could choose the best one for DD :thumbsup2 and had the same selection on the way back.

Seems my last letter of complaint had hit home :cool1:

Maybe we should send them a group letter , listing all us consumers who have used them in the past and would appreciate having this good service in the future ! I'm all in favour of telling them what they do right as well as what they do wrong
