RPR room requests and loews first membership

I this has been asked many times, but I have looked and I can't find the answers. Back in February I made reservations for May 25 thru May 29 at RPR. At the time I was not a Loews Member, I have recently signed up and am now a member. Is it possible to get the welcome gift since I made reservations before I was a member?
Also, I have read where you can make room requests by fax at the RPR, does anyone have the fax number and did they have any luck in doing this? Short of begging, what did you say in the fax to receive the request?

Don't have the fax number, but you can absolutely add your Loews number to your reservation.

Call them and add it. Then at check-in, just verify that it is on your reservation and that you are eligible for your welcome gift.

Just as a note - your welcome gift is dependent on the type of room rate you have. Some rates, such as Annual Pass Rate, Florida Resident Rate, packages or anything booked through a 3rd party travel agent are excluded from the Loews Perks.

So, you can add your Loews number at anytime, even at check-in. And as long as you have a qualifying rate, you will get your Welcome Gift.
 
I believe you must specify what welcome gift you want by calling the Loews Hotels Loews First Number..You tell them your name, and Loews First #, then what welcome gift you'd like to receive..example, I believe, beer and nuts, fresh fruit and bottled water, cookies and milk...

Once you receive your Loews First #, make sure it is in your Reservation # at Universal Hotels...Hopefully you will get an upgrade!!

Loewsfirst member here and AP holder. We recently stayed at the HRH (last week) and did not receive an upgrade nor the welcome gift. After reading on the boards I assume it was because we had an AP discount. Last year we had an AP discount, but did receive the welcome gift.
 

I have a Lowes first membership, i am now Platinum so guaranteed upgrade at booking.
As for adding your Loews first number, just do it at Checkin, go to the designated Loews First checkin Desk,and give them your Loews card and ask to register the number to your booking, they always ask me at checkin what i would like for my gift.
 
Sorry missed a bit.
when i book i do not request a certain room number. I request a tower a floor and a view ,usually pool. I called them 2 days ago to request this for this year, and they just add the info on to your booking.
For July this year i requested tower 1 or 3 floor 5-6 or 7 although tower 3 floor 7 is club so will not get that at tower 3, and a pool view.
