We arrived at the RPR sometime around 8 PM on Friday July 2.
I must say we wer all impressed with the front of the hotel. you really seem to be swpt away to another land as you cross the bridge.
I can't really come up with a good way to descibe the lobby area. It isn't "grand" but it isn't "simple" either. Homy but exotic maybe.
The theme is tastfully understated IMHO. It doesn't jump out and say "pacific island theming".
with our lowes card we received a free upgrade to a pool view roo.
We were in room 3612 (I think).... We were in the first section of tower 3, almost down to the "bend". We had a perfect view of IOA and the pool. IMHO this is a perfect location. The view is great and tower 3 is closest to the dock for the water taxi. We had a perfect view of the fireworks on the 4.
The room was very nicely furnished. My only complain is the way the entrance door and the bathtroom door hit into eachother. IMHO the bathroom door should open into the bathroom.
I wish I could remember more about the furnishing. Once again they were exotic but understated.
I have to say one of my favorite things was the dual showerheads in the bathroom. There is a regular showerhead and a handheld. These are great for shower the younger kids.
We didn't take time to enjoy the pool, but it was beautiful. Very tropical.
the walk is very pleasant from City Walk to RPR. The path begins right next to Margarittaville. You can the go up to your left to enter from the front of hte hotel, you can cut throu the pool area or walk all the way over to the path that leads to Tcoup Choup (spelling LOL).
We spent so much time in the parks that we really didn't get to enjoy the resort. I really look forward to a more relaxed trip to the RPR.
Oh and staff was very friendly and helpful.
