RPR or HRH quick to boat dock?

Hi... still going back and forth where to stay....I know HRH is the best to walk to the parks...but what if you had someone who had to take the boat....is it easier for HRH to get to the boat dock or would RPR tower 3 be easier....my sister will have trouble walking so I know she won't want to walk the path she will take the boat...I really wanted to stay at the HRH... is the dock here easy to get to.....thanks..amy

Yes it's a quick walk to the boat docks. Are you going to have access to a wheelchair for your sisiter to get around in the parks?

thanks...she will not need a wheel chair....recovering from cancer and is weak...she will walk in the parks...just figuring closer to the boat dock...less walking...thanks...amy

The bus driver at PB told us that the bus service is rarely used and very accommodating to wheelchairs. We noticed one night we had the bus to ourselves.

I think it's a shorter walk to the boat dock from Tower 3 at RPR. At the HRH you could be clear at the other end of the hotel. The bus drops you off right in the back of the HRH and close to Universal Studios. If you stay at RPR your sister might want to take the bus when going to Universal Studios and the water taxi for IOA.

I put together some aerial maps and scaled the distances. These are approximate but pretty close:
HRH elevator to bus stop is 270'.
HRH elevator to boat dock is 425'.
HRH elevator to US walking is 1460'.
US bus stop to US turnstile is 360'.
CityWalk boat dock to IOA is 1025'.
Citywalk boat dock to US is 705'.

RPR Tower 3 (closest) elev. to bus stop is 695'.
RPR Tower 3 elev. to boat dock is 565'.

It looks like HRH would be the least walking distance to either park. IOA is a minimum of a quarter mile of walking to the turnstile and once inside it is a long walk around the park. I'm with FeeFeeWhite, take the bus. Good luck!

motherfletcher...wow..thanks alot...looks like HRH is closer no matter what..I have been to the parks 4 times..so I know it is alot of walking inside the parks....this board is so great...thanks..again....amy
