RPR-- non-pet, non-smoking room

We are headed to RPR later this week!

My daughter is allergic to dogs & cats. I've heard that you can have pets at the universal resorts. Are there certain floors/buildings where they put guests with pets.

Can I request a non-pet room? (Not sure what else to call it.) Do they even exist? I'd like to request a non-smoking room also.

Should I call or e-mail? Does anyone have the RPR's direct number or an e-mail address for room requests?

All rooms are non smoking. You just just call the hotel directly or fax them or email them.

I called the reservation number. I said that I have allergies and wanted a no-pet room.

I later changed my reservation to club level.

Shortly before my arrival date, I got a call from the hotel. Apparently the reservation person had typed in that I have allergies and I WANTED a pet room. The hotel people were trying to figure out (a) what I was allergic to if I wanted a room that allows pets, and (b) whether I knew that you can't have pets on club level.

We straightened it out.

I believe all of the pets are put in the same tower. Maybe on the same floor of that tower.

Yes, pets are put on the bottom floor of one tower with access to the pet area. If you ask to be away from that area, you should be fine.

I just called and requested not to be in a pets room. Sounds like it won't be a problem.

We travel quite often with our small yorkie to US. Both DH and myself are allergic to dogs to the point that we can get asthma so we worry traveling. We have a "hypoallergenic" yorkie that does not bother us. So traveling with her in pet rooms sometimes is worrisome but we have never had a problem at US. They really super clean everything. I would just say you don't want a pet floor just in case, and I really would not worry!
