Hi, I have a room booked at the RPR for the end of June(4 nites) and when I booked (with Loews Gold)they upgraded me to a waterview room. As I understand the Loews Gold Program- I can upgrade to a suite(if available) at check-in for $35. per night?? What are my chances of this being available during the time of year I am staying?? There will be 4 of us in the room and I am getting concerned about space after reading some posts on the SMALL rooms at RPR. We have only stayed at the HRH previously, but I thought I would like to try something new this time around. Have I made a POOR choice:confused: Any input would be appreciated! Thanks, Joan

RPR offers no upgradable suites that accommodate more than 3 people. You would actually be better off comfortwise keeping the double queen water-view room.

Portofino bay has a nice upgradable suite, portofino suite, that sleeps 4 very comfortably and has 2 bathrooms. As before its based on availability at check in and $35 a night extra.

RPR's standard or water view rooms are 335 square feet which is very close to the standard rooms at WDW's AKL or WL as an example. The king suite is 650 which baffles me why they only allow 3 people. You would think that they could charge $25 for a roll away and easily fit 4. They must have made a mistake before because they have put us in a KS with 4. They have with 3, 2, and 1 as well.
It is not really a "poor" choice but usually and economical choice. You have to consider how much time you spend in the room. Another concern is how can everyone get showered and ready in a timely manner. My solution to that is to visit the fitness center (free with Loew's First) and shower in the locker room. The showers there are very big and they have everything you need except a toothbrush (PBH even has those).

Agree with those above. You unfortunately do not qualify for a King Suite at RPR (or HRH for that matter) with 4 people. Bizarre, but true. If you really, really want a suite, switch your ressie to the PBH, say a prayer, and check in early. As early as you possibly can. You are going during a VERY busy time of year, and upgrades are based on availability. Good luck!

rph standard is lots smaller than hrh standard.
and same for the next size up rooms.

pbh could be a better option for you since you need space

We are booked the end of June also, and when i called to inquire about AP rate, she told me the hotel is practically booked the whole month of June.....so, i wouldn't count on too many upgrades being available!
