Day 2 starts early. Joey (DH) and I are up by 8am and we're starving. Decide we'll head down to Islands for the breakfast buffet. By the time we shower and dress it's after 9am. Try to wake Jess to join us and she gives me a blank stare and pulls the covers over her head. 
Ok, no problem. We let her sleep and head down by ourselves. The buffet was great as usual. Made to order omelettes, pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, rice, fruit, pastries etc..
By the time we finish breakfast it's 10am. We head back up to the room and guess who's up? Yep, Jess. Not only is she awake, she's hungry. We head back down to the buffet so Jess can have some breakfast and I can have yet more coffee.
Ok, breakfast is over time to hit the parks.
From this point on our trip resembles a marathon of sorts. Jess is a total newby to Orlando and wants to experience everything.. in Universal and in Disney.
From Islands we head to IOA and HULK. No line at all. We walk thru the express que and right up to the loading platform. After the ride we ask Jess what she thinks and she says.. " It was okay, the launch was good. "
Ok, on to Spiderman, again no line at all. Spidey was great as usual. From there we head to Jurassic Park. But wait it's closed.?? We assume it just hasn't opened for the day yet and head towards Dueling Dragons. The dragons were dueling but there was only one train on each side so we waited maybe 10 minutes for 2nd row on Fire. I love this ride!!
Checked out the talking fountain in front of Poseidons Fury. Jess wanted to see this but the next show wasn't for a bit so we decided we'd come back for it. Sinbad was getting ready to start so we went in and watched that. It was cute & Jess was blown away by the pyro display at the end.
Head to Suess Landing. I love the theming here. It's perfect. We head to Cat in the Hat. This ride is a must do for us. As you know when you exit Cat in the Hat ( or most any other ride) you are in a gift shop. We stopped to wander around the shop and noticed the crystal display. They take digital pics of you and etch it onto into crystal paperweights, cube, ornaments, etc. Jess thought they were the neatest thing. So Joey decided to get her one. She decided she wanted all 3 of our pics in a cube with the universal globe etched in it. So we have our mugshots er pictures taken
and get a receipt to pick it up later that afternoon. ( They won't deliver to hotel since it's fragile.)
It's probably about 1:30pm now and we decide to head to Nascar at Citiwalk for lunch. I like Nascar because it is quick and easy. We all ordered chicken. Joey and I had grilled chicken sandwiches and Jess had a fried chicken sandwich. ( it was actually chicken tenders on a bun).
After lunch we headed to Universal. Jess wanted to check out Nickelodean Studios so we headed that way 1st. We waited for maybe 15 minutes for Slimetime Live ( i think that's what it was called). This was a cute audience participation show. Jess was picked for a game which was neat. She had to wear these cardboard spongebob pants and collect sponges that the audience passed to her.
After Nick Studios we headed for Shrek. They were just opening the doors to the torture chamber so we headed right in.
We all agreed that Shrek was a hit.
The plan at this point was to head to the back of the park for MIB and then go back to RPR to meet my parents who were driving up from Bradenton, FL. Of course to get to MIB you need to pass Back to the Future. There was no line so off we went. Never again!! This ride has just gotten way to rough. I can handle HULK no prob but BTTF really got to me.
We finally get to MIB and walk right thru the express que and to the loading platform. I was racking my brain trying to remember all the high scoring tips posted by MIB999. All I could remember was shoot the baby carriage. It wasn't enough Joey trounced us. I swear just once I want to beat him. LOL
My mom calls to say they are a few minutes from the hotel so we start heading back. We lucked out as a ferry had just pulled into Citiwalk when we arrived so we got to sit down and relax rater then hoof it back to RPR.
My parents were waiting in the lobby. They had already checked in and asked for a room as close to us as possible. They were put in room 2522 --3 floors above us. We were going to see if we could get rooms closer together but decided it wasnt that big of a deal.
We walked them to their room so they could drop off their luggage and then headed to the pool bar for a drink. We had one drink and decided it was dinner time so we headed to Hard Rock Cafe. Joey and I always get the pig sandwich here - it is soooo good!! But.. Jess had a pot bellied pig as a pet while growing up so we opted for cheeseburgers instead. LOL
After dinner we wandered aroung Citiwalk and found ourlselves back at T-shirt Joes. He saw us coming and just started to laugh. We spent a good halk hour here watching him work and waiting for Jess to decide what she wanted. She finally made up her mind and he made up her shirt and we were on our way.
By now, we were all pretty beat and decided to just head back to the room and relax and watch some TV.
