we are going next week and have a regular 2 Q room booked. the club level is available for the time we are going. we are family of 4. 2 older teens. 1 LOVES theme parks, the other goes just cause "she has to". Question--is it worth the extra cost for club level for us? the surly teen will probably stay in room/resort most of the time.

When I (male) was a teen, I was always hungry. I would have been glad if my parents decided to book a room with the possibility to eat lot of stuff in a club-lounge :lmao:

I don't know if teen-girls are also always hungry popcorn::

How much is the difference per night and how long do you stay?

the upgrade is about 100/night. 3 nights.

but i have saved $$ on other parts of our trip. and i figure that with the regular room, 3 of us will be going to the gym daily at 30/day (10 each/day), so it comes out to 70/day.

and if the surly teenager really gets to me, i will drink 70 in beer and wine every night :drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:rolleyes1

We did CL at RPR a couple years ago. While it's my favorite resort, CL was a waste. Spend the $100 on better (and more) food at the parks or City Walk.

I haven't been to Universal left, but after looking at the photos and information about the club level offerings, I think we would prefer to pass on that and spend the money at Bula Bar, or City Walk, or even on room service rather than on club level. It just doesn't look remotely worth it.

Depends on your family. It is well worth the cost. For us we stay at Portofino because the club lounge there opens early ( 7am) and that gives us plenty of time before early entry to grab breakfast etc.We also spend ALOT of downtime at the resort( we stay a week though) and hit the club pretty much every evening .The other resorts Club lounges don't open till 730am and for many people that is too late to grab food and hit early entry..

I would say it depends on how picky your family is.. we stayed CL at RPR last week for three days.. ate breakfast there every day which probably saved our family of four at least 50$... hubby and I had wine and beer each night.. again around a 40-50$ savings... took snacks to room..cold water bottles to carry into park... and ate dinner there two nights. We are not particularly picky eaters..I will say one night was better than the other.

Overall glad we did it!

Make sure the teens are old enough to use the gym. I have NO idea what the age minimum is, but make sure before booking it for that reason!

the teens need to be 18 to go alone.

if they are 17/under, a parent has to go with them to the gym facility.

the club lounge at rph is very nice.
it's large and has ample seating and no one feels crowded in there.

last fall i stayed 10 nights.
out of the entire stay, i only did the evening appetizers one night.

did hit the lounge for water about 2 times and always went to the lounge for coffee during my break back at the hotel during many of the days.

going solo and paying for club is not an economical way to vacation.

my main reason for club is for coffee..........

i did use the club lounge to print out my boarding pass for my flight.
everyone has the option of using the lobby concierge desk to print boarding passes.

I'm so excited we booked the rpr club level with our 45% pin code!!! We have never stayed at the club level before.

Can you tell me what beer they usually offer each night? Are the menus posted ahead of time? I looked at the food sticky to get an idea of what is offered has any of the menu items changed?

TIA OMG Club Level!!!!!

What types of beer and wine are offered at the club level and when do they put them out?

I haven't seen this on the picture thread of club level and was also wondering what types of snacks they have out in the afternoon.

beer/wine is served between 4:30 and 6:30 each night. there were about 5 different kinds. I didn't have any but remember seeing corona and Heineken.

The daytime snacks when we were there in June were goldfish, whole fruit (apples, bananas), uncrustable sandwiches and granola bars.

:rotfl: The little Pepperidge farm cracker thingies....funny thing I was just eating a handful before I read this!

LOL.........Thanks............ My little brain would have pondered on that all night :thumbsup2

Can't you get beer or wine other parts of the day too, other than a 2 hour block from 430 to 630? And do they offer spirits as well, or no? Thanks!

they did offer mixed drinks for $5 each. They did put the alcohol away at exactly 6:30, so I don't think you can get it outside of that time frame.

I had no idea you could have meals in the club level and I've stayed club level twice before. It's not just a continental breakfast type serving??
