I stayed at the PBH during Easter 02 and found the resort guest
fotl perk superb..eg. line at Spiderman & Hulk, arround noon, less than 5 mins.

Has the RP coming on line since then increased the line wait, given the higher number of guests with the perk?

We then went to the GF at WDW...Will never do Disney again, unless they bring back EE. After fotl at Universal, WDW is a drag.
Do you think Disney cares about the risk of repeat visitors avoiding WDW or at least reducing the No. of days at their parks because of the lines?

I went in July and I didn't notice a change in the Express lines due to RPH guests.

Thanks Barry...great news, but why do you think it's had no effect ?
Also, does this mean the time when we're restricted to the # rides per attraction, is a long way off?

It may be of interest for everyone to know that starting very very soon, hotel guests will be limited to one ride per attraction per hour. In other words, no re-rides within the same hour, but you can go to a different attraction.

I think this is a fair deal, and prevents the express lines from clogging up a little bit.

Well I do like the 100% freedom of being able to choose if I want to re-ride again, but I guess in the end my family usually doesn't re-ride the same thing more than once every hour. It seems bad at first, but I doubt it will really effect people since it will cause everyone to visit more stuff around the park.

Oh well

We were just at Universal August 7th - 9th and FOTLA was INCREDDDDDDDIBLE.

I assume you mean one ride per hour using your FOTL pass? Single riders and normal line users may still ride as often s they wish?

Exactly. Of course, there is no true "FOTL" (Fruit of the loom, I mean, Front of the line) access, unless you have a VIP Tour Guide. Express access is just that- Express. It averages around a 10 minute wait or so. Single riders and normal line will never be restricted.

Hey,

Chris McFly I was just wondering do you work at Universal? Jus curios!

Thanks
Mike

I think it's had an effect, but there's more to it than the extra hotel.
Offsite guests are getting express passes for the most popular rides early in the morning, for an afternoon time.
We would need a crowd report from someone visiting right now, because this is the peak time of year.
Went in July and the express time for Hulk at noon was 20 minutes.
In a couple weeks, the place will be a ghost town as school starts.

Robvia,

I was just there August 7-9 when most schools were starting and to ride Hulk at 8pm at night with Express (We were at the Portifino) we walked right into the station and waited ONE TRAIN only! The same goes for the rest of the park all day long including Spiderman and Dueling Dragons. Both were walkons both days we are at Universal!

Mike

We were there July 3-7 and I agree with Robvia. The only place we saw a difference was the Hulk. We had a twenty minute wait in express. They are also SELLING books of express passes, so this may add to the lines.

I noticed today that all the Express employees had Palm handhelds with a card reader attachment. I assume these are going to be used to put the limit into effect.

Yes when I was down a few days ago (August 7-9) they had Palm Pilot things and would put the card through, but only on Hulk, Dr. Doom, and Spiderman.

But sometimes the person would just wave the people through without swiping the card.

Well there is an EASY way to get around this problem. Since up to four people can use each room key, just use one of your others and you can get on. I doubt they will block every single room key once one person uses their's, since it would be too hard to determine if only the person who's key it is went on, or 3 others (or however many) really went on.....Wait that sounds stupid LOL

Mike

Thanks for the crowd report. All of this becomes moot.
School just started for Osceola County (Orlando) and Hillsborough (Tampa). I'm sure the weekday crowds will drop off. Here's their calendar.

West Palm Beach schools start August 14th, Broward starts August 26th. The place becomes a ghost town in Sept after the holiday, then picks up in October.
I'm going Sept 12 and 13th, he he. Everyone will be too scared to fly that week because of Sept 11th. Walkon city.

I am not sure about 4 people on one room key. I was just there 8/3-8/6 & they were scanning a ticket for each of us.....not one for 4 of us.... (just off the top of my head...ET, MIB ..... Spiderman)
