So is the Royal Tea just for kids? I know there is Princess Tea and I didn't know if that was the same? I also heard there is an Alice in Wonderland tea? Is the name change just depending on which cruise ship it is or is Alice and Wonderland tea for all ages?

My friend and I are late 20's and would probably feel very awkward sitting next to 10 year olds with their princess suitcases (if that is the tea set up), but we really enjoy High Tea at the Grand Floridian! Is there any tea offered like that on the ship, or only geared to the young. I just think it would be a blast to dress up and wear a fascinators and have high tea on the beautiful sea. I'm just thinking nothing is offered like that on the cruises? Think if there was a large enough group or interest it could planned on the cruise like mixology classes? Thanks everyone!
:thanks:

"Royal Tea" is on the Fantasy. It is intended for kids, though I believe there may be a price for adults. I believe it costs something in the $250 range.

"Tea with..." [princesses, Alice, etc.] has traditionally been offered on the classic ships (Magic and Wonder) on cruises of 7+ nights. I believe the character may vary based on who's onboard. This is a free event but requires a ticket. Again, it really is aimed at the kids (I believe it's apple juice and cookies). While I don't think anyone would stop a couple of 20-somethings from attending, you'd be at an event with a bunch of little ones.

Unfortunately, the High Tea at Palo is no longer offered; they discontinued that a few years ago to expand the brunch offerings.

Enjoy your cruise!

We did the tea with Alice a while back on a 7day on the Wonder. Free but only apple juice and cookies.
If you are sailing out of Miami, you may enjoy doing afternoon tea at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami before or after the cruise.

That's what we are planning to do. :)

Thanks guys! Appreciate the intel! Super bummed about tea on the cruises, sigh...but maybe I shall check out the Biltmore Hotel!

I just looked into it and there are several places in the Orlando area that also offer afternoon tea including the Waldorf and Ritz Carlton and they are cheaper than Royal Tea. heck, you could probably try a couple places and it would still be cheaper than the Royal Tea
