Royal Table Breakfast

Is this worth it? We ate at the castle for dinner in 2000...as a same day reservation non the less!

We now have 4 children and will be travelling with my in-laws. I wonder if we should do the breakfast there or Akershus? We did Akershus last Christmas and it was good, lots of princesses!

The atmosphere is special. However, it's really expensive for what you get.

My personal opinion is that it's a wonderful thing to do if you can justify the cost. DD and I have had breakfast there twice, and this year, my boys wanted to come too, so we're all doing it, but I'm still not sure if it's "worth it"!

Atmosphere is good, not great. Food is as close to very average as you can get and the price is incredibly high for what you get. This restaurant is a big no, don't do.

NOTE: If you have two adults and two kiddies 3-9, only you can decide if breakfast is worth approximately $150 (after tax and tip) for scrambled eggs, French toast and bacon/sausage.

We ate there for breakfast back in 2005 when our girls were 4 and 2. The atmosphere was wonderful and we had great character interaction. Since then we have eaten at Akershus, which we like as well. However, for our Sept. 2010 trip we have already decided that we want to go back to the castle for breakfast only because our now 6 year old (who is still very big into princesses) does not remember eating there....plus mom wants to eat there as well

You have a decision to make between atmosphere and food.

If you have a huge Cinderella fan then the fact that she is guaranteed at CRT will swing it for you.

We think the character interaction at both breakfasts is equally as good and the photo package is included in both.

Breakfast food is 1000 times better at Akershus but you can't beat actually eating in the castle IMHO.

We do both every time because of this.

Will you and your children be disappointed if you don't eat in the castle? If the answer is yes then I'm afraid you've got to pay if you can, if the answer is no go to Akershus it's great.
