Hello Dis Family! I need advice. I am able to get a room at the hotel Royal Plaza or the Buena Vista palace for about $10 difference for my upcoming December stay. So which should I go for? Is one better than the other?

Any reviews are greatly appreciated as well as pictures of the new rooms at both resorts.

Thanks in advance!

Hello i stayed at the buena vista palace in aug. we were on the 17th floor and we had a view of the mk, epcot ball and saratoga springs. We coould see the fireworks from our balcony. They had a nice pool the beds were high and very soft with a flat screen tv in the room. I also noticed that the royal plaza had updated to but we really enjoyed buena vista palace. :thumbsup2

I have stayed in neither but have always loved the look of the BV palace. I have incidentally been considering the Royal Plaza for a trip at Easter. The BV palace is almost always much more expensive in my searches, in fact for my trip it is almost double the cost. If I had the choice, it would def be the BV palace.

Both Hotels are fabulous. BVP is closer to DTD, has a bigger pool area with a free form pool and an olympic style pool. Also has more lobby space for hanging out enjoying an evening drink listening to the piano. You can't go wrong at either place, but I would choose BVP over HRP.

We've stayed in both, BVP (Jun 2005) before it was remodelled and HRP post make over (July 2006). We had a lovely room at the then Wyndham (it was a suite in the separate building), but equally enjoyed the beds and jacuzzi baths a HRP. Have a look at trip advisor and see what the recent reviews are like.

Both have great locations in respect of DTD and have a good bus service to the parks. For $10 difference they may not be comparable rooms so have a look at the grades that it refers to. I'd probably pick BVP due to the setting and general atmosphere. Not a bad choice either way!!!!
