Hi all! We are planning a trip to Orlando in November...we are staying at Poly concierge the first 3 nights, then need somewhere to stay the last 4 nights, which just happens to be Super Soap Weekend at DW. We do have a reservation at All Star Music, but we've stayed there several times and wanted to try something new. ALL HOTEL rooms at DW appear to be booked! Even rack rate rooms...so then just yesterday I get this brochure about Royal Pacific...the deal is $137 per night, per adult, but it incl. park tix as well as a movie pass and a lunch or dinner. I have 2 questions: Is this a good deal? And would you vote to stay there over All Star Music? My hubby went to Universal once with his 2 older kids 3 years ago, but we haven't been with our 2 youngest, so this would be a new experience! Any advice appreciated!

As far as comparison between All Stars and RP - well there just isn't any. All stars are nothing but a motel 6 covered with Disney. The RF is beautiful stayed there in August. You would have to compare RP to a Disney Deluxe, and in my opinion RP would be a tie, if not a little better, and I have stayed at 4 Disney Deluxe. If you want to check if it is a good deal try pricing everthing out seperately.

Hi, hunnypotmama:

I agree with markey, there really is no comparison. You'd do better comparing the RP to the Poly! HOW you can go from Poly Concierge to the All Stars is beyond my comprehension!! LOL!

As for the deal, well that depends. What kind of tickets does it include? One day, one park or two day two park? The total comes to close to $300 per night so the tickets would make me understand if this is a "deal".

Check 1-800-UESCAPE, ask for the rates for your nights. Ask for the Entertainment rate first off. These rates are known to be as low as $99 a night for the RP. If you do not have an Entertainment card you can purchase one at www.entertainment.com.

Packages are only as good as their components. If you have no need for just one component it loses it's value. Check to see if everything separately booked will cost less then compare it to the rate quoted.

Thanks guys! The reason we were going from Poly to All Stars is that is how our days worked out! I asked for All Stars first, then checking into the Poly, but the Poly was booked for that Super Soap weekend...I knew it would be painful to switch to a value resort, so that's another reason why RP appeals to me. I will price out the separate components and see how it comes out...the tickets in this "deal" are 2 day ticket, with one day free, valid for admission to US and IOA...i'm assuming those are "park hoppers?"

Thanks again!

Yes, these are "hoppers", and they go for about $100 apiece. Will you be getting these for all of the members of your party or just the adults? If you have to pay for your kids that would add another approx $190 to the deal. If not....

Package

3 nights RP = $822 Plus tax

If you add kids tickets: $190

Approximate ttll $822 or $1012

Separately

3 nights at ER = $300 plus tax

2 Adult tix: $200

2 Children tix $190

Movie tix for 4 $20 (matinee)

meal $50 (did they mention how much?)

Approximate ttl: $740

This totally depends on the room discount so find out how much they'll be for your particular days. Entertainment rates are not always available.

Have fun figuring this all out!

ER would be entertainment rate. :)

Sorry, sounded like I was sending you to the Emergency Room, huh?

FYI, I am quoting the USF rate for the tickets, there is also an online 5 day "hopper" that goes for $89.95 that is a much better deal than the 2 or 3 day.
