Royal Pac close to the parks

How long of a walk (water taxi, etc) is it from RP to the parks? FIL will want to return to the room to swim after a few hours and always manages to get lost doing this at Disney so I want to make sure he can get back.

It is about a 10-15 minute walk. Much faster by water taxi. If he can find Margaritaville, he can find RPH.

Both the water taxi and the walking path take you to City Walk. All he needs to know is which way to turn when he gets there.

It might be better to plan on taking the water taxi home, especially at night. Getting to the park is no problem as the path from the RPH only goes to the park--no side trips available. But going back to the hotel, you have to keep Margaritaville in sight and find the path entrance off to the right and behind. I thought it was a little confusing a night with all the crowds. The water taxis, however, are very visible from everywhere after you leave the park no matter what direction you're heading in because the parks and CityWalk all surround the lake. And at the dock are signs telling you which line to get in for which hotel water taxi. Or just ask the attendant.

we actually timed the walk from rpr to ioa and it took 7min. the walk will be slightly longer to uo. we had no trouble finding the walk at night. the water taxi is very convenient but lots of times we could see that we just missed the launch and knew it would be a 10-15min wait for the next boat, so we just walked most of the time
