Hello! I've been lurking but you and Mom always beat me to the punch!

I stayed up late packing last night. I'm trying to kick the habit of last minute packing! I realized yesterday that DD6 doesn't have any sandals that fit her. So we went to 4 stores last night. No luck! Any suggestions for stores in Downtown Disney that might have good kids walking sandals?

I'm just starting to get packed! We leave in 17 days. I just found out that my brother and his 2 year old are going to join us. Last summer, my mom bought all the girls belle and aurora dresses for this trip, including the 2 year old who wasnt going!

The bad news is, my other brother who is going had a housefire in November 2 days before Thanksgiving. His 2 daughters dresses were of course ruined, and we just realized it today. The girls ages 6 and 9 have no dresses to wear and its too late to get them from disney shopping before we leave.

If you know there sizes order them from disney shopping and have them shipped directly to your hotel. You can track the order and it will be a lovely surprise for the girls when they arrive.
I do this all the time because being from Canada it saves me buckets of money on the duty.

DD5 has been wanting a Minnie Mouse looking dress like she saw on someones trip report. I checked out EBAY and they had some real nice dresses but they were $50 and we already spent more than enough on her Deluxe Belle and a Cinderella dress so I have decided to sew a summer dress using red polka dot fabric I just ordered the pattern and will get the fabric this week. I have taken sewing classes over the years but it never sticks in my head, I can't even remember how to thread the bobbin.

So any good tips out there??

Nelep, have a great trip. Are you leaving early tomorrow? I just found out yesterday that I will not only have packing to do the week before my trip, but report cards are due the same day that I leave. I think I'm going to have to take a day off that week to get everything done! Ugh!

Looks like there are just a few days, but nothing for your entire trip (see the first page of the thread for dates available). If you are interested in any of those specific dates, post again with the stroller you want (i.e. RC 1, RC 2, etc) and the dates you want. Parkers Momma will get back to you pretty quick. Good luck! And try not to stress too much. It always works out in the end.

Swap #5 has 7-9 (turning it over on the 10 to the incoming swapper)
Swap #4 has 11-14 available (Possibly picking it up late on the 10th)

Ok...I'm going to put this out for those who are inquiring about March 14-27.

Yes, I am aware those dates are taken by the same person (msreneau) in several of the swaps. No, it isn't a typo, mistake on my end, and no, I will not ask her to "share" the strollers with other incoming swappers.

msreneau was here in the swaps....even before I took over the swap. She is planning a magical gathering with her family (and there are more lil ones than strollers that she has requested). I'm sorry that other swaps have fell through, that I don't want to add another stroller ( I think 5 stroller swaps are enough, I can't/won't start another one ), and/or that you have just found disboards and learned of stroller swaps (BEWARE Disboards is VERY addictive). I wish I could help each of you, but it isn't possible. In the past week, there have been many swaps started. If you go to the sticky at the top of the budget board that says "Stroller Swaps! Find Them Here! " you might be able to find a stroller available for your dates. Good Luck to each of you.

With this being said...swappers #5, check your PM's, I blundered this week and made a mistake on the address which you are suppose to mail payment to. LOOOOOONG WEEK is all I can say.

Update on Family:
Mom is home and doing ok. She will have to have another surgery (putting a plate in her ankle) in two weeks and will have to go to a nursing home for P/T.

Step dad is still in ICU-unchanged. They started bringing him out of the induced coma today and he started having problems so they put him back under. Hopefully by the end of the week they will be able to get him awake and off the vent then evaluate all of his injuries.

I'll be back later tonight to answer the remaining PM's, PM the new swappers (Hopefully with the right information ) and get everything updated.

Glad to hear your mom's doing okay. I hope your step-dad starts to improve. I also hope that people aren't bothering you about this swap. You have been doing an incredible job keeping this running and still maintaining some semblance of sanity!

The kids crocs were all over the place and Ron Jons Surf Shop had some nice kids sandals at the Prime Outlets if you have a car. My boys did crocs the entire week and were happy! Good luck!

I just want to send a big hug to Parkers Momma and all ya'll disboarders out there. I just found this place a 10 days before my trip and I feel like the information and knowledge I found on here is what made this our best family vacation ever!!! Having the stroller allowed us to feel safe in the crowds and allowed us to leave each night and enjoy the beauty of disney after dark instead of stressed over holding hands and not getting separated. It also allowed the boys to rest their tootsies enough so that they were still angels at 10pm when they should have been finished! I just really hope everyone gets the thanks they deserve for this place bc it's been an absolutely fantasmic (couldn't resist!) experience for us!
