Hi, I'm new to this all and would like to get in on the swap for RC #3 we are going July 10th-18th 2009 let me know if those dates are available. Thanks so much!

Hi! I'm just curious if RC1 has a rain cover....I saw in an earlier post that it did, but that was a few swaps ago....I have a cover for an Inglesina twin swift, but I don't know if it'll fit a double jogger. It rained a lot last Jan, so if there isn't one already, I'm going to look into finding one. Thanks again for arranging everything parkers*momma!

Ok I think I PMed you, I am new at this

thanks- Jod

*Looking for Feb 22-28* I think RC2 is available then

What a wonderful thing I just happened on tonight!
I am loving all the money saving tips I am finding on these boards
:cool1:

I just ordered the rain covers for strollers 1 and 2, I plan on leaving them behind after our trip for anyone who comes after us. :goodvibes If anyone needs to purchase one for their trip babycatalog.com has them for only $13.99 (search double jogger rain cover) and free shipping over $49. I think it's under $6 to ship it otherwise, at least to MI. They also have cup holders for $5.99 (double insulated by Kelgar).

OK...I think everything is updated.

I'll PM payment details in the morning....welcome all new swappers!

Thanks for getting us in! This is shuch a great thing.....you're are a great woman for organizing!

On a seperate note I would love to hear about your mommy/daughter trips!

You're welcome!

Our now annual Mommy and Me vacations are AWESOME!

A lil history first tho, We have 5 children ages 28, 24, 20, 16, and 8 years old. Our first trip was in 1996 when our then youngest was 3 and the oldest was 15. The kids really had fun but we had to split up with Dh taking the older ones and me with the younger ones. Not much fun because it seemed we each missed moments with the other children.

The year before last (2007), 3 children were out on their own starting college or families which just left the four of us for our annual WDW trip. My then 14 year old thought it was the lamest trip ever, hubby was bored and got grumpy (he is not the Disney nut that I am) while I was trying to make it happen for everyone. Not a very good trip....very stressful.

Last year, when I started planning our trip, my then 15 year came to me and announced that he was to old for a kiddy trip to WDW. Dh totally agreed with him and suggested he was willing to stay home with him (generous man that he is...lol). So My youngest and I started planning.

Is it wrong for me to say it was the best trip ever??? I had never skipped down Main Street, but she wanted to so much! Soooo we held hands and skipped clear to Casey's corner and enjoyed a hot dog while feeding the ducks pieces of bun. Who cares if I looked like a 47yo nut....we were laughing and giggling the entire time, weaving around other guest never missing a skip.

Again, being lunatics, we rode Goofy's Barn Storming 7 times in a row...hands above our heads screaming like it was the biggest roller coaster in the world...and getting sore throats so of course we had to share a coke with two straws! We caught Lizards (ok...so I was crawling around on the ground with my tush in the air---sorry to all the other guests who had to witness that!), petted them for a lil while and turned them loose in the safety of the trees behind Liberty Tavern(gross I know but it made her sooo happy-we don't have lizards in Ohio....Thank Heavens for antibactrial hand sanitizer!).

We had ADR's to every Character meal and shared kisses with Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie. There was a HUGE Pyrotechinque convention at the Comtemporary the same night we were celebrating Parker's birthday. We had a seat right beside the window. The minute she blew out the candle on her birthday cupcake, a huge firework display started (they were showing disney officials all the new fireworks---beautiful...even better than Wishes) She literally thought Disney was shooting them off to celebrate her birthday! Made Donald Duck, Cruella, Jafar so angry! I thought poor Donald was going to have a heart attack over Parker's shirt (Mickey Mouse Rules and Donald Duck drools)! We made forever friends with Pluto...he sure was happy with the puppy buscuit we brought him from home. Gave red roses to all the princesses and we both curtsied in front of the princesses, dressed up to the hilt for MNSSHP and raided all the candy stations twice.

OK, to put it simple...rules for Mommy didn't apply...this was a no adult vacation! I brought my age down to an 8yo's and did everything as an 8yo. I tell everyone this now....go to Disney and become a child....literally! See and experience Disney though your child's eyes. Did we get to ride every ride on our list (which we made at home)? Nope. Did we let caution fly to the wind, slip off our shoes, and run through a puddle of rain water after a sudden shower-stomping as hard as we could (maing sure no one was near us to get wet)? Heck yes, it was a blast! We bought a box of popcorn and didn't eat one kernal of it but for some reason the ducks followed us on the street heading to the castle...wonder if it was the trail of popcorn they were following...lol. I even have pictures of Parker hand feeding them!

All in all...we have over 1500 pictures. I took some, she took some, photopass took some and we even asked other guest to take some for us! We decorate our door, windows, and room...mousekeeping even helped with an ample supply towel animals and a birthday cake plus balloons and cards. We shared chocolate waffle cones, dole whips, and was surprised when Stitch joined us on a bench to eat his cone too! (pictures to prove it!). Late at night, to excited to sleep, we turned off all the lights, took our trusty flashlight and tried to make Disney Character shadows on our resort room wall.

Though we didn't experience the dream team this trip (three times on the last trip), I was fortunate to have a very special moment. We started our day with an 8am ressie in the Castle for breakfast and went the entire day at MK. Hopped back to the hotel long enough to change into our MNSSHP costumes then on to the party. Went to the Haunted Mansion no less than 20 times just so we could chat with Coletta (the ghost out front), FINALLY got a decent picture of the headless horseman(we've tried for 4 years), rode rode and rode all the rides. Parker was plain wore out and fell asleep on the bus. When we got back to the room, I put her in her bed, tidied up, and went to bed. Parker....in her sleep...crawled into my bed and while her eyes were still closed...she said in a very soft voice, "Momma, today was the best...........if I could..........I'd live here forever........with you.......zzzzzzzz."

Now it is our annual trip, I don't think any trip will ever measure up to our first. It created such a warm fuzzy bond for us. I've decided that each year, we are going to go to the Poly and have our picture take so we can watch our trip as she grows. Imagine watching your child grow up with the castle in the background. These are the shots I'm hoping to continue...

Maddie,

Do you have any trip reports from your past mommy trips? Your post was so much fun to read! I don't know if I will ever get to do one. My DH & 2 boys love disney as much as us girls.

One other thing - I have not checked to see if my dates have been changed yet. I needed 8/22 - 9/5. I am also willing to pay double if the average swapper only uses it for 1 week. Let me know. I think you have me down for stroller #1. Are these still the Royal Carriage Swaps? Too many questions, sorry.

TIA

You know, I have never thought about writting a trip report. I didn't think anyone would be really interested in reading it....lol I will share with everyone....if you ever get a chance of doing a one on one with your child...it is welll worth it. To bad it took me till my youngest to figure that one out. I would love to have experienced this sooner and with the other children.

I've got your dates changed and nope...it's per stroller not length...so you are fine. I still need to get your personal information. And yep...forever the Royal Carriage swaps.

Who took your pictures? They are great!

Yeah my DH goes on the trips and has fun but it is not his favorite place. We have 4 kids now, maybe I can take each for their 10th birthday or something....hummm I will have to work on this. I was getting teary eyed reading your entry.

Thanks!

We did three of the Disney photopass private photo sessions last year. One at the Poly, one at the Grand Floridian, and lastly, at Animal Kingdom Lodge. That was when it was $25.00 a session for pre-paid (yea, Photopass share from Disboards...$11.00 to join), they loaded them on your photopass card, and you could enhance them at home on the website.

Now from what I've read, It's more like $75.00 per session without enhancing. BUT most photographers are still loading them onto your card even though you get the CD on the spot. Which means you still get to enhance them at home.

I'm hoping for joining/starting a share for September....still getting the enhancements (a lil sugar hopefully will help) and continuing our tradition.
