parkersmom, so sorry to read about your mom & step-dad. Wishing them all the best and sending pixie dust your way.

I just pm'd you that I am interested in joining the swap. My dates are 11/26 - 12/5, and we will be staying at the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness. It looks like strollers 3, 4, and 5 are open for those dates - it doesn't really matter to me which swap I am added to.

Thanks...an hour later and I'm still trying to catch up on everything! Thank you for keeping up on the swap for me.

As for Mom, she is getting home in a day or so with a rod and two pin in her ankle and yesterday, they found a broken rib.

Step-dad...he's simply holding his own. We found out yesterday he has a broken nose and a today, they were bringing him out of the sedated coma to see if he has head injuries.

So as of today, he is in sedated coma on a vent with a broken ankle, femur, hip, ribs, and nose plus internal injuries and needing skingraphs as soon as his body is able. You would think from the extent of his injuries he didn't have his seat-belt on but he DID! The Femur, hip, and ribs are from the fact that the other vehicle hit on his side of the car and his body had no where to go since he had his seat belt on. The broken nose and possible head injury are from the airbag deploying. The ankle, the deep/missing skin...we have no clue. He is still having problems breathing and they still haven't figured out where the internal injuries are...he's been getting 2 pints of blood a day. But he isn't strong enough at his age or condition to have surgery.

Well, I'll continue to pray for you and your family. I am glad that your mom will be home soon and I hope that your step-dad gains some strength back so the doctors can do the surgeries that he needs.

I will continue to watch the swap, looking for new swappers and bumping us up when we need to. I go back to work on Monday and will continue to look when I can, but Nelep is also keeping her eye out for new swappers so between the two of us I think we have the next few days covered.
