Disney icon Stanley Gold and members of Roy Disney's family have filed papers that would indicate so. No direct tie to Disney, Inc. ... But "Disney" news nonetheless.

Disney, the company, was into professional sports... it didn't work out so well.

I'm not sure what the intentions of Disney, the heirs, are when it comes to the Dodgers, however. I could be wrong, but this might be their first high-profile bid for anything since Roy's death a couple years ago.

They(the Disney Co.)also owned the Anaheim Angels if Im not mistaken and I believe they won the World Series under their watch
