I was toodling around on the disneyland site, and went to the Plan>Special Events page.

Under Halloweentime: "Giddyup and get yourself to Woody's Halloween Round-up, a boo-tiful corral for kiddies."

Under Holidays at the Disneyland Resort: "Meet real reindeer and participate in countrified holiday fun at Santa's Reindeer Roundup in Frontierland."

Nice!!!!! I don't know if they will be in the place I'm used to them being, but at least they seem to be planning to have them. Unless some rogue IT person pirate: put them up there just to trip us up. :upsidedow

OK, they couldn't even get "round-up" vs "roundup" figured out...just noticed that!

The Holidays page also stated "Experience "A Christmas Fantasy" Parade, a charming procession of Yuletide vignettes starring beloved Disney Characters." I remember liking THAT parade! Yay!

Of course, this only deeply matters to me if we lose our minds and go AGAIN, and, well, again, to see both. I think hubby should really think about finding a tech job down in Anaheim someday....would probably cost us less money! :rotfl:

Well, even though I spent no time in Woody's Halloween Round-Up last year and only a bit of time in the Reindeer Round-Up, I would like to see them come back because I think kids like them a lot, and Santa needs to be somewhere in DL. The Halloween Round-Up would be an easy transition from the Celebration Round-Up BBQ stuff because Woody is already there. Now the Christmas one may be a little tougher to finagle, but if they are still calling it "Round-Up" then it sounds like it will be in that general Round-Up BBQ area - or darn close to it. I was hoping that the rumor would not be true that the Round-Ups would not be coming back due to being bumped by the BBQ, so let's hope this plan sticks and the info you obtained is correct! I think that as much stuff as they can cram into the parks for both Halloweentime and Christmastime, the better, although, of course, that means more people crammed into the parks and the dreaded higher hotel rates!

Well, there is still plenty of time left in the year to lose your mind and go to DLR again, for Halloweentime or Yuletime - or BOTH! No need to do it just yet!

I've been wondering how they are going to work this... I will be there for the first day of halloween season and am admittedly a little curious.

I think this is good news. I love this area during the holiday season. I'll be interested to see how they merge the barbecue together with the theming.
