Round of golf with my 8 yr. old????

Has anyone had a good experience playing a round with their young son/daugher?

My son is 8 yrs. old, and is not yet an avid golfer. He's hit on the range several times, and played one round of pitch and put. I an envision some holes being played 50 yards at a time.

Is there one course that is more kid friendly? Do they rent kids clubs?

It lists a 9 hole walking course which may be just right for an 8 year old. It also looks like a deal... I know clubs are availabe, but don't know about sizes. You might call them and see?

I just called about this. The nine hole course would be the best. It is $38 for adults. Juniors 10-17 were $20. Your son may be free. It is free to rent junior clubs. Adult clubs can be rented for $15. Hope this helps. There is also free transportation by taxi if you are staying at a disney resort.
