Round 2, Match 2: Dumbo vs The Jungle Book

On to the next matchup of previous winners.... This week, two of the more popular Disney animal classics go head to head.


Dumbo:

That's really a tough match-up for me. I really enjoy both movies, but for some reason Dumbo is calling my name. I think the emotion in the movie puts it above Jungle Book for me, (even though I really do love both movies)!

This one is a really tough call. Both films are great. I'll have to think about it...

I had to go with Dumbo. Six-year-old me would choose Jungle Book, which I watched all the time, but I saw Dumbo again recently and I was surprised at how much more emotional I found it as an adult.

I love the little tough mouse from Dumbo. He's such a character. So tiny, yet so tough. The journey he takes with Dumbo was really great. I love how it ends. I also love how even though Dumbo is looked at as a freak in the beginning, it turns out that he's the most special one of them all.

From Jungle Book, I love Shere Kahn. He's a badass villain. King Louie was great too. Very funny.


I think I'm leaning toward Dumbo, but I'm unsure enough to hold off my vote for now. I love the colors of the Jungle Book and the journey those characters go on.

You know, that hasn't happened yet, but if it did, I'd probably just let it go an extra day. At the end of the additional 12-24 hour period, whoever lead would be the winner.
