First of all, I would like to thank everyone who voted in Round 1. It is you who make these matches interesting! So now, to start Round 2 off with a bang, we've got a blockbuster matchup. Two heavy favorites from the first round returning to go head to head in the second. Two timeless tales which everyone loves to watch over and over again.

Peter Pan will always be one of my top FAVS. I have loved it since I was little and still enjoy watching it today. And Tink (pre-fairies movies) was one of the greatest Disney characters. :tink:

Both are really fantastic films. I thoroughly enjoy them both. This is almost an imposible choice, but I suppose between the two, they both have their strengths and (few) weaknesses. I hate the way Sleeping Beauty is drawn. Peter Pan looks way better. But I love the Sleeping Beauty forest and how it's all hers and she can always just go to the edge of it and see out, but no one knows she is there. I'd have to say, really, the only thing I am not psyched about when thinking about Sleeping Beauty (besides the way it's drawn) is the ending. The final fight between the price ad Malefesent was a bit of a let down. She was hyped up to be the most evil being ever, and he kills her easily. I was hopeing for a tougher fight for him before his final victory. Peter Pan, on the other hand, had a few things I didn't like about it (moreso than SB) but neither were bad at all.

Overall though, I think I liked Sleeping Beauty better, albeit, they're still neck and neck in my book.

I see what you're saying. Very good.

One thing I'd like to address though is that I love the Peter Pan ride at DL/WDW. I think it's great and I love how you litterally fly over the city and stuff. The way the ride works is how the E.T. ride should be.

On the other hand though, I'm disappointed that they never made a legit Sleeping Beauty attraction. I mean, yes, the castle is wonderful, but I would have absolutely loved to have a ride-along attraction based on the film in Fantasyland or something. Something a little more special than a walk-through. But don't get me wrong. I'm not hating. Maybe if they have enough space in DCA they can add something there in future?

Wow. What a tough choice. How can one really choose on these two?? But if I have to...then...gotta go with Peter Pan.

Peter Pan is so near and dear to my heart. It's my favorite animated Disney film. I think it captures childhood perfectly! The fantasy of beloved storybook characters who are alive and visible only to those who believe, and then flying to a world where only children can go...discovering mermaids in a crystal clear lagoon, fighting off pirates, and being captured by indians.....it's just magical. Not saying anything bad about Sleeping Beauty, but I vote Peter Pan, hands down.

Just had a thought....wouldn't it be cool to experience Peter Pan in 3D? I would be all over that. Disney....you listening?

That is a wonderful idea! Any classic Disney film in 3D would be really great. It would look so cool! Especially with the way Walt Disney did his camera tricks to add depth to the picture. It would be fantastic!

By the way, I love both films, but I just have to vote for Sleeping Beauty! It is such a great classic!

That is a fantastic idea! :thumbsup2 I honestly wonder why they haven't started converting the older films into 3D for those who want to watch it that way?

EDIT:

Sleeping Beauty wins 13 to 8. Feel free to keep discussing and/or voting.

There is nothing better than Sleeping Beauty for me - it is my favorite cartoon of all time. I spent my childhood reinacting scenes from that movie. Still to this day I love walking around the fabric store with bolts of fabric in my hands!

Not to mention I think Aurora is one of the most beautiful princess' there is.

I chose Sleeping Beauty, but it's definitely a hard decision. For me, what pushes Sleeping Beauty above Peter Pan is the animation, which is just so incredible. Still, tough, tough decision.

I just realised... this is basically the most popular ride in Fantasyland versus the Castle itself!

Definitely Sleeping Beauty; it's probably one of the most artistic animated films ever produced by Disney.

Peter Pan may be my favorite Fantasy Land attraction, but the film itself is rather unremarkable and certainly not even "timeless," but rather pedestrian and flat.
