We're almost there! Only a few matches left, including this one, until Round 1 is complete. Here, we have two classic tales told through Disney's eyes. The man-god, Hercules, takes on the man-beast, Tarzan. Cast your vote for luck number match 13!

EDIT:

Winner and moving on: Tarzan (9 to 7)

Tarzan. I still dance and sing along to "Trashin' the Camp" whenever it comes on.

I've never been a big fan of the way Herc was drawn. I just don't like the look of it. On the other hand, and I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but Tarzan is yet another ignorant Disney film which portrays the hunter as the villain. :headache: Although Tarzan is a great story and has some really good songs, I think I'm going to go with Hercules. I loves the titans in that. The Ice, Twister, Lava, and Rock. I don't know which one I would be, but they were all badass.

Tarzan, just the music alone it's worth the win.

I really like both of these movies, too bad they have to go up against each other in the 1st round. There are so many more movies I would place below either of these.

Tarzan was an amazing adaptation and Keane did a marvelous job turning the regular vine swinging jungle king, into a tree surfing jungle king. The opening scene was also very well done, as well as the development of his relationship with Jane. Loved Tantor as a baby elephant and as an adult. But just could not stand rosie odonells character in the movie, it brought the movie down. And the Trashing the Camp number just didn't work. It appears to be a bad substiture for any of the swinging Jungle Book movie songs.

Hercules had an incredible character development too, with Herc, and one of Disney's best and most creative villains ever with Hades (not to mention one of the most, if not THE most humorous Villain) Loved how they tried a different animation look, giving it a more grecian look. And what a great cast of characters. This is really one of disney's most re-watchable animated features.

Overall, I had to go with Hercules.

Hmm..... I actually like them both. I don't love them either though, just like them. I think that I like the characters individually in Hercules a little better than Tarzan, but I think that the Tarzan story was a little better than Hercules. But I really don't know which one I would pick. I will have to think about this for a bit. :confused3
