Just got off the Wonder today. We experienced the roughest seas on this cruise compared with our previous four trips (2 spring, 2 winter). :scared:

The first and last nights were so bad that many people were getting sick and leaving dinner after the first course. :crazy2: It was smooth sailing for early diners, but got rough at 8:30 both nights. Is this usual?

We have early seating for our next cruises and are hoping for calmer seas during meal time.

Rougher seas would not be correlated with late seating, just the weather. In other words, don't think chaning seatings will make any diference.

We had late seating for both of our previous December cruises (Western and Eastern) and it was smooth sailing! :boat:

I've always had late seating and can't remember it being any rougher in the late evenings than any other time during the day.

We sailed on the Jan 6th Wonder and the seas were very calm the whole 3 days....

This was our 13th DCL cruise and only once or twice in all those did we feel any motion that we would say whoa....did you feel that.....

Just happens to be the weather at the time....we have sailed in July and had rougher seas than Jan/Feb.

Thanks for the responses. We just thought that it seemed like we were going slower earlier in the evening and started speeding up during the late seating.

The ship does cross the gulf stream the first night - making for rougher seas. Its completely possible that first seating was before the ship met the gulf stream and second seating was afterwards.
