Hi everyone
. You're all a great bunch and since I've been going through a bit of blah this last few days I thought I'd share, hoping maybe to get a bit of DisUnplugged board pixie dust
love and support
.
You see my Mom uses a wheelchair due to her having MS and to make things easier on both of us I live in the same building as she does, one floor down. On tuesday night I got a call (she has an alarm) and it turns out she had fallen and we were pretty sure she broke her hip! She was in a terrible amount of pain. After spending all night in the emergency room it turns out she hadn't broken it at all which seems to me a miracle really, and she came home from the hospital yesterday
.
So anyway, she's home, phew

! I worry about her so much already and with our Disney trip so close, ugh. I thought I might have to cancel for sure. My cousin is going to live in my apt. and look out for my Mom so that's all good.
Except yesterday my darn back went out and I spent a bit of time on the floor myself
. It's not the first time so I know what to do and I've got my meds but now I've got soooo much to do, and all I can do is sit here and stress about it all. I have Kevin who I can delegate to but as I am the get things done person so it's difficult. I (we) still have to pack (haven't at all
) clean, Christmas decorate some, cook and freeze in for Mom, do a big food shop, there is so much. Plus when I do get to Disney I have to be able to commando it!
Now I'm thinking I'm being a bit whiny. I know everything actually is really good, because all that really matters is that my Mom is okay and home. I guess I just wanted to reach out a bit to my Dis peeps
is all. See you soon! I may be driving a Khat ( I can't afford one for two weeks eek!) but, yeah...it looks like I'm going to Disney World
!
