ROTR Success Rate

Forgive me if this is answered elsewhere, but what is the success rate at Hollywood Studios for people who arrive early and follow the correct steps for getting ROTR boarding passes? Success meaning “being able to ride that day.” I see a lot about how to get boarding passes, but I don’t really have a sense of how often doing everything right may still you empty handed. If I’m going for a week, so I need to plan on getting there at the crack of dawn every day? Thanks

When my DH and DD17 went the boarding passes were gone by 7:02. Park opened at 7:00am. You do need to be fast.

If you’re there for a week, I’d plan to try and get a BG on day one of your trip in case it doesn’t work out and you need to try again another day. If it does work out and you love it, you can go back again and again.

You don’t want to leave HS for the last few days of your trip in case you get completely shut out or you get a high back up boarding group that they don’t get to that day.

Within 2 minutes and BGs are all gone! I am going during Christmas break. How early before park opening should I plan to be at the turnstiles? 1.5 hours or even 2?

We have no idea how entrance will be handled by Christmas. They might go to all standby or have implemented FP by that point. Check back in about 6 months for data more relevant to your trip.

Thanks for the advices! ADR booking opens in 4 months. I am already stressed about planning for DHS due to the BG uncertainty. Hope Disney announces a permanent plan for ROTR before the summer crowds.

Disney doesn't release the total number of BGs offered on a daily basis, so it's not possible to know/track the number of people who don't get to experience the attraction.
