ROTM=ANOTHER ride big people can't go on?!?

One of the discussion threads on another board says that Mummy will be similar to hulk, dragons, etc. in that large sized guests won't be able to ride. I'm coming down in six weeks to propose to my girlfriend, and I swear I can't tell you how it feels to get so excited that soft openings have started and then hear this is another ride I may not be able to go on.

Can anyone who has been on the mummy add their thoughts? I thought the lap bar and shin guard made it sound like it wouldn't be a problem also is there a test seat outside the ride? what would be the problem for big people anyway, the lap bar not going down enough?

I haven't seen a test seat so far.
It does say inside that it is size limited though.

It's sort of bucket seat you're in and the bar is pretty snug when down, don't think the ride will operate if it doesn't fully go down, because the employees were checking someone's bar yesterday before we could leave the loading area.

There is a test seat out front. The problem is that the lapbar has to click to a certain point before you can ride. This is for your own safety per instructions from the manufacturer.

The test seat out front has the lapbar marked so you can see if you fit. I do know that a few heavier people who couldn't fit in the front seat have been able to fit easier in the back. If you read this at IOA central, it was posted by a guy named David who is not heavy but just a big guy. He's 6'7, 290lbs. His main problem I believe was leg room.

If you're tall, then the back is better for you-more legroom.

Otherwise, try the test seat. If it doesn't reach the Requirement, you can't go on.

thanks for the infor, and not to start something up, but given the nature of the ride (i.e, no inversions) would it have been that difficult to make accomodating restraints?!? After all, its not like there are only a couple large guests in the park everyday so they could blow us off!

This ride has serious airtime, so flimsy restraints won't due. A large person fell off Perilous Plunge because the restraints were too generous. With any ride there's going to be people that can't ride for safety reasons. You just have to face the fact that you're in a minute percentage of people that visit a park.
