Try www.livemocha.com. It is a free online language learning site. I did a free trial version of Rosetta Stone once, and livemocha is very similar. I haven't gotten far with it, but it is very interactive just as Rosetta Stone is.

Also thank you to those who mentioned Rosetta Stone is basically for learning vocab and phrases. I want something that actually teaches me how to do a bit more, like conjugate verbs, or like a PP said, the very important gender assignment of the nouns.
Yes, I did bring up unemployment, but only as an idea as to how much time I now have available. I suppose I should have gone with "stay at home mom".
