I did a search but couldn't find this out. If we are at the Rosen Hotel (near universal) and want to go to Disney but have no car do we have any options? Thanks for the help!

Many off-site hotels advertise shuttles to the parks, however, they may have only 1 RT per day. Some don't even serve the parks every day, only a few days per week.

You really need to call the front desk for your hotel and ask them about their shuttles and their schedules.

You can always take a taxi (which would be expensive).

Thank-you. I do have an e-mail in to the hotel. I am afraid of exactly what you described. It is actually my teenage niece who will be there for the Deca Nationals. Her teacher suggested that the kids might want to go to Disney :upsidedow but she has no intention of going with them. I am not too happy with the whole situation and I am afraid it is going to be trouble in one way or another. I figure the more information DN has the better prepared she can be to get herself around or to choose to not go at all.

Make sure you have the right Rosen too. There are three, two within blocks of each other. They also are a partner with four more moderate hotels.

They may have totally different shuttles. We stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek, and they said they had transportation, I think Universal was free, but Disney was not. We didn't use it.

I have never used off site hotels' shuttles to Disney before but I suggest that you don't rely on them unless you can make and keep reservations on them. Some are run by individual hotels while others are third party and serve a group of hotels.

Various sources including Corey Sandler's Econoguide book suggest that you may be left behind if you are there to park closing and the last shuttle is full.

I am worried about her getting to Disney but then missing the shuttle back or worse it not coming to get them. I would guess a cab ride would be very expensive. And they would need to be back on time to compete. I really wish we could talk her out of it! But she is a teen so I doubt we get too far!

They are at the Rosen Shingle Creek so it looks very nice.

Thanks everyone!

We just stayed there and it is a beautiful resort. Will return in a heartbeat....but we had a car.

They offered free transportation to Universal. To my knowledge and based on their website they do not offer it to Disney. It says transportation to Disney is at your expense. There were often town cars lined up out front. You are not on International Blvd, but Universal Blvd at the widest point from International, no Trolley and not sure about any other transportation. Cab to airport that is only 10 minutes away was $35.00. Disney is further, so would be at least $40-50 each way.

They should make sure what is available to them, if anything for Disney. Universal may be a safer choice.
