Rosen Plaza - Good Choice ???

As some of you know I was in the process of changing my hotel in Orlando from Holiday Inn International to The Rosen Centre.

Unfortunatly Virgin have only 9 of the 10 nights free, so after speaking to the Rosen directly on the phone we were advised that their sister hotel is very nice also.

Is the Rosen Plaza as well thought of round here as the Rosen centre seems to be? I can't bear waiting on the phone for an hour and changing it all over again.

When we booked the Rosen Centre we were informed by the Virgin Travelstore that the Rosen Centre was better than the Rosen Plaza but not by much. One benefit that the Plaza had was that it has the only nightclub on I-Drive, although quite whether this is a good thing or not I suppose is down to personal taste.

One interesting note is that the Rosen Centre doesn't appear in the Virgin 2004 Florida brochure. I queried the fact that it was missing from the 2nd edition 2003 brochure a few months back and was told it had nothing to do with any dip in quality at the hotel but just down to the fact that the deadline for contracts to be signed for inclusion had been missed by the hotel.

I was however promised that the Rosen Centre would once again be included in the Florida 2004 brochure, however this isn't the case. Funnily enough the Rosen Plaza IS included.

I don't quite know what to make of this, but I was assured by Virgin that the Centre still met their criteria for a **** hotel and that it was a fantastic hotel with plenty to offer the tourist, not just conventioneers.

Something must have happened though for it not to be included in the 2004 brochure.

Shall I put my Sherlock Holmes hat on and try and dig deeper, or shall I just go for it and hope everything works out alright?
