I love this show, and my fave episode was definitely where they found their old pot stash--Jackie was hysterical!

I loved the episodes when the kids were younger, as the show got a little weird in the last season or so. But one of my favorite all-time quotes was when Darlene had just found out she was pregnant:

Roseanne: I just can't believe that you're going to be a mother!

Darlene: Well, it won't be official 'til I chew through the cord.



Darlene was such a smartmouth, and had great comedic timing. Great show.

I like the ones with her snotty neighbors, can't think of their names. Kathy was the Mom and Todd was the son, I think.

We watch the show on Nick. My DS10 thinks it's one of the funniest shows he's ever seen.

I liked the episodes where she worked in the hair salon too.

OMG I LOVE Roseanne! lol My dm used to religiously watch it when it was on when I was a kid. lol I have so many episodes that I love, like I think Friday night on Nick at Night they had the Bingo episode.

I think my all time fave episode though is the Christmas one where they got a notice from the snotty neighborhood community organization that said only fancy tasteful Christmas decorations were tolerated that year. So Rosie and Dan went and put up the most cheesiest tacky Christmas decorations they could find. Like the two baby Jesus's (Dueling saviors) and a cardboard cutout of Liberachie (sp?) !

I loved Roseanne! I like the episode when they went to Disney. Pooh kept bugging Darlene ("Shoo, Pooh"), and then she was excited about being with Pooh.

I liked both the Halloween shows and the Thanksgiving dinners--especially the dinner when Jackie brought 1 can of dented cranberry for the entire family.

We absolutely LOVE Roseanne and watch it every night on Nick At Night plus we have the first 4 seasons on DVD.

Darlene: Oh, I think you do.

Darlene: [Dan is in jail] I think I should fill you in on all the changes since you've been in the big house... Mommy says we have a new Daddy now


The DJ episode:

Darlene: Trust me, he goes in that room cause it's the only one with a lock on it, and he's in there for like an hour at a time. Which means he's either really, really good at it, or really, really bad at it!
Roseanne: Well I don't want you to give him any grief about this, ya know, cause you could traumatize him and turn him into a serial killer!
Darlene: Well don't worry, how much damage could he do with only one free hand?

The episode where Darlene goes to a Concert with Molly:

Darlene: Stop right there, Ponyboy. You and the rest of the Outsiders can just go rumble someplace else.

Darlene: Oh, man. I feel like I'm the middle of a really bad after-school special.

Roseanne's Dad dying:

Roseanne: [their father has just died] Okay, that's it. I can't do it anymore, you call the rest of the family list.
Jackie: I can't call people, Roseanne!
Roseanne: Jackie... dial!
Jackie: I'm supposed to be in mourning.
Roseanne: Well then wear a veil over your face while you do it!
Jackie: [dials the phone] Hello, Auntie Barbara? It's Jackie... Jack-key! Yes. I'm fine... Fine!... I'm fine!... I got some bad news... Dad isn't with us anymore. I said Dad has passed away... He's passed away!... Dad is gone... Dad's dead!... He's dead!... No... DEAD!... DEAD! DEAD!... No, he's fine, he sends his love!
[hangs up]
Jackie: I am not doing that again, you can't make me!


Roseanne telling DJ about her first period:

Dan: [D.J. is screaming and running up the stairs] Whoa, whoa, settle down!
D.J.: Mom was just telling me a story I don't want to hear anymore!
Dan: Well that's no reason for you to go running out of the room screaming like a maniac!
D.J.: It was about her having her period!
Dan: As you were.

My favorite line was from the episode where DJ didn't want to kiss the girl in the school play.

Roseanne: You are doing it DJ
DJ: Dad says I don't have to so I don't have to listen to you.
Roseanne: Are you NEW?

I use that line all the time.

I actually never watched roseanne before a month or so ago. It's awesome I can't believe I missed this show when it was on. I watch it on nick and nite and I rented the first season on DVD to watch!

I love Roseanne!
While I was a teen I hated the show b/c I was constantly told I looked like Darlene. I was actually referred to/called "Darlene" in h.s. It drove me nuts.
Occasionally while out with friends at the mall or movies I would hear someone shout, "Darlene!" and I would keep walking.

When I graduated h.s. I was relieved that I didn't have to deal with people yelling out, "Darlene!" until I was at a mall in Savannah, Ga (I live in NY)with a friend and I had a group of teenagers run over to me and ask for my autograph.
I was confused until they asked me, "you're the girl that plays Darlene, right?"

Thank God that all ended when I hit 20.

I can love the show now
