Roseanne goes to Disney World

Okay, so I'm just beginning to watch Roseanne (the old tv show from 1988-1997) well in 1996 they did an episode in W.Disney World and I can't seem to stop laughing.

Not only are they in Disney World but if you are a Grey's Anatomy Fan and watch Part 1, you might recognize the bellhop.... It's Eric Dane!

I love that episode! Especially the part where Darlene is being miserable the whole time until she meets Winnie the Pooh. Then she has the time of her life and even gives Pooh her phone number!I guess no one can resist the disney magic!

We visited after they filmed the episodes and the CM told me Roseanne stayed in the Yellowstone Suite at WL while filming that

OMG-I JUST relized Darlene's old boyfriend is one of the stars of The Big bang theory!!!!

I think this must be the only episode of Roseanne I've ever really seen - I love the plot of Darlene being a wet blanket until she meets Pooh. And yes, when I started watching Big Bang Theory, I thought, "Why does Leonard look familiar?" - then realized he was "Darlene's boyfriend from Roseanne." (You know, Sara Gilbert made a few guest appearances on BBT early on - I wonder if they'll bring her back someday.)

I haven't seen it in YEARS, but I love the part where they're like throwing trash on the ground just because the Disney employee runs over to clean it up immediately.

I saw Roseanne when she was on Oprah a couple of months ago. It made me laugh so hard when she was saying that she was glad that her grandkids scream and cry so that her daughter is repaid (oh, how I hope the same one day ). Roseanne said that her daughter was so bad in restaurants, that other diners would get up and leave their tables to go get their tubes tied!

We were in the Magic Kingdom one of the days they filmed. We saw them riding thunder mountain. There were big signs up that said "HOT SET".

So long ago, my kids were little tikes, time flies.

I believe this was filmed during the era when every show on ABC visited WDW...which amounted to not much more than WDW commercials...was pretty obvious when Disney owned ABC or ABC owned Disney...I forget who owned who...

I've seen other shows being filmed at WDW =years ago-and I'm sure they were mini commercials for the Parks also.

I guess because most of the shows were terrible to begin with (don't even get me started on Full House )...they weren't funny to begin with...and the WDW shows just made the acting/premise even worse. Seeing the parks was nice...but everything else...ughh....

funny how they never have to wait in lines...and the characters always give them a lot of special attention...and they always get picked to dance on stage, or be in the parade...

...and just the obvious/blatant use of a tv show as a WDW commercial strikes me the wrong way...just sayin'....as my daughter would say.
