Hi everyone

We're going to our planning session on Thursday!! :yay: And I'm just getting all my ideas together to show the florist. I'm thinking of getting our two flowergirls the rose wands. If anybody has had them, could you post your pictures and also how much they cost. Do you know if they can make wands with something other than roses?? Any advice or pictures welcome.

Thank you Vicky

I, too, totally want to see what the wands look like!!!:cloud9:

My eight year old daughter had a three rose wand at our VR in April. It was $55. Here's a pic

She loved her rose wand!

Thank you mcarthur205. I love your daughters rose wand. I'm hopefully going to be having bright pink aswell. Definately think i'm going to have something like that for my flowergirls as they are going to be 8 and 5.

Here are our wands - they were beautiful (as are the kiddos but I want to protect their privacy)!

I used rosewands for everyone in an effort to cut costs. I had 6 bridesmaids, so I knew I was in for a hefty bill. The florist told me that they do rose wands in odd numbers of roses, so my flower girl got one rose with a bigger ribbon poof, the jr. bridesmaid got 3 roses, and the 6 bridesmaids got 5 roses with smaller poofs. I did not do hidden mickeys on their wands, mostly because they aren't the disney fanatics that I happen to be, so it would have been a waste (DH and I each got them, however).

I believe it was an extra $5 for each extra rose they added to the wands...

my niece was 4 1/2 for our wedding, so i got her a single rose. it was perfect and just $25! of course it only lasted thru pictures, then her 3 year old brother got ahold of it and decided to use it as a sword :rotfl: In hindsight, I should have asked for a silk flower for her - boys... :)

Sounds great. If you don't mind me asking what was your total for the rose wands? How did your bridesmaids look with the Rose Wands? Thanks.

Has anyone made their own flower wands?

I have a single rose planned for FH's sister and two of my sisters that aren't in the wedding party. I have considered making these with silk flowers as I am afraid they will wilt and look horrible by the time we get to the reception.

I would love to see a tutorial or some pictures close up of the stem, tulle poof, etc.

The rose wands for the bridesmaids were $65 each (5 black magic roses); the jr. bridesmaid was $55 (3 roses), and the flower girl was $55 with the single rose wand, though we did purchase a floral halo headpiece for her that was $75.

My floral budget was expensive (around 4k), but we knew we were in for it with a bridal party of 15+parents. So I just cut corners where I knew I could, namely getting the wands and using the altar piece on the sweetheart table, and getting frosted ice buckets with liners for both the pavilion and the venue as the table centerpieces...

I do like the idea of rose wands versus the full bouquet (its cost effective)

I had mine done by a seller on Etsy. She was much better in price than Disney, but has since closed shop :sad1:

There are other silk options out there, just google "flower wands".

I had rose wands for my three girls. They had 3 roses in each. I think they were $35.00 each (we were married November 2008).

I love how all the colors were tied together.

We later used them on our cake table with my bouquet and some flowers that were on our alter.

I completely understand your privacy thing - but when I first saw that it reminded me of something out of the Twilight Zone :scared1:.

Here are some pics of the rose wand I made for my DD. It is made out of 3 silk flowers and some ribbons. It was only a few dollars in cost to make!

here is one I did for our niece she will be passing out our programs but I thought she should have some flowers too.:goodvibes
