We generally do only places with a/c seating for both cs and ts meals to escape from the heat during the summer.

In August, we're thinking about doing a noon lunch at the Rose & Crown which has a lot of outdoor seating. If you've been to the R&C, do they usually have enough fans going to make the outdoor seats bearable in August heat? I know that we'd be in shade, and I'm hoping that sitting outside in the August afternoon won't be too hot.

I don't think any fan is big enough to make it not unbearably hot in August in Florida at Noon.

I'm going down in June I can take a look & see what the set up is. But, the Dis crew may beat me to it if you ask...

I can help! I used to work at the Rose and Crown, and during the summer, it was unbearable outside.

Most of the outside tables are in the shade and there are fans, but it does get very hot and sticky out there. If you don't handle the heat well, request to sit inside and whilst you might have to wait longer, you will usually be OK asking. I used to watch seaters take guests to my outside tables, and they used to get within ten feet and stop to ask to go inside...it's very common!

The only problem is when there are literally NO tables inside available. Then I would just order lots of water!! The lower deck tables that are 100% in the sun are usually closed during lunctime unless it's very busy.

Thank you! I am going to aim for an ADR right at opening time and will request an indoor table.
