Can anyone tell me about the serving size of the fish & chips at Rose & Crown (the dining room, not the walk-up place)? Do you get multiple pieces of fish, or just one? If I'm not a big eater, would one order of fish & chips be enough for me to share with my 13-year-old sister-in-law if I order an additional side of chips?

I honestly do not remember if there was one large piece or multiple pieces. But what I do remember was that there was a lot of fish. If you are both fairly small eaters then there should be no problem. I'm sure you will see how large it is once you arrive and can decide then

Definitely more than one. I don't remember if it is two or three--but I never finish it. I usually let me DH finish it for me...he has a slightly bigger tummy than me.

The last time we went (12/07) it was one long piece in a basket lined with psuedo-newspaper. It measured approx. 14-16 inches. If you are not big eaters, and if you share an appetizer, you could easily split the portion.

It's one big honking piece of fish. The fish is on top of the chips in the basket. I couldn't finish the fish or chips, so you may not even need to order an extra side of chips. If you feel you need something extra, order an appetizer or dessert to share.
