The latest ADR I can get at Rose & Crown for our party is 7:15 when Illuminations is at 9:00.

Is there any hope we'll be able to watch the show from the restaurant, or will they kick us out?

I'm thinking if we have to wait a bit to be seated, we might not sit down till 7:30 or 7:45, and then service will take an hour or so?

I'm just wondering, if we're done with everything at about 8:45, will they make us leave, or will will be allowed to go to the viewing area and watch?

Thanks for your feedback!

We love to get there at this time - we order appitizers (love the fruit and cheese platter), then entrees and then dessert. Illuminations start when we get dessert. DH and I split a bottle of wine and DDs get fun drinks - this is a meal to enjoy - not to rush.

You'll love the experience.

You have a 2 hour dining limit at the R&C so you are within your time frame, don't worry, just pace things slowly and you should be fine.

We're thinking of doing R&C during our trip also. Do you have to be seated outside to see Illuminations or can you see from inside as well? Is the outdoor seating something you can ask for when you make your ADR?

you really can't see the Illumination from inside. However, they have a special viewing area outside for people eating inside. Our ADR last month was for 7:10. We sat inside and were done eating just before the Illuminations began. We went to the viewing area and then discovered a table on the porch out of the way that no one was sitting at. We went back and sat there - and it was a great view. And yes, when you check in you can ask for an outside table. Tell them you're willing to wait. They may or may not be able to accomodate you but they are very understanding.

You'll be fine. We were there on 6/3. Our ressie was for 7:30. We waited about 10 minutes, then were seated outside. We had just finished eating at nine, then we just moved over to an empty table near the rail and watched Illuminations. BTW, we had a wonderful dinner, and they do not rush you. Enjoy!

What if the reservation is at 7:00 (that's the only time I could get). Is this to early to be able to stay and watch the show?

You can't request an outside table when you make your reservation.

You may or may not be able to request an outside table when you check in - most likely there will be a sign on/at the podium indicating this is not permitted.

You will have to take whatever table you are assigned; in fact, there've been posts indicating that Guests are told this when they check in.

Thanks everyone. I guess if we cannot ask to be seated outside we'll go to that special viewing area. Sounds nice. Now to time our ADR right and we'll be all set.

What happens if you're still eating past the two hour mark?

The only ADR I could get for July 4th was 7:35. Illuminations is at 10:00 that night. My plan is to wait until 7:35 to check in, hope that there is a few minutes wait for the table (as there usually is) and then just order lots of food so we'll still be at either our patio table (hopefully, fingers crossed) or be able to go to the viewing area of 4th of July Illuminations. DH and I thought we would just order appetizers first, eat them, then order soup, then dinner then dessert. So even if we're so stuffed the price of the food will be worth it if we get a good view of Illuminations.

There are many, many great places around the WS lagoon to watch Illuminations. Basically, any spot where the view is not blocked by a tree or a structure is as good as any other place. So, don't stress out about inside/outside table, pace of meal, etc. at Rose & Crown. If you finish dinner early, just go find another spot around the lagoon and that will be just as good a spot to watch Illuminations from as from the "special viewing area" at R&C.

When I was there in March solo, I had a 7:30pm ADR. I was finished and paid by 8:45pm and escorted to the "special viewing area".

It was wonderful! :goodvibes

Perfect view, wonderful food, wonderful service!!! I was the highlight of my trip.

We have been there twice with ADRs at about that time and were able to stay and watch illuminations at 9:00. It would be my guess that when you book that time and ask to sit outside when you arrive (which we did) that they know why you are there, Food and Fireworks! :)

We just did this last week. We had ADR's for 7:10. I was also nervous about the timing....

We had a large party(17), so it was going to take a while anyway.... but i think as long as you are eating/spending money they wont care. Just take your time, order desert or an after dinner drink if you need to stretch it out! As long as you are not just sitting there taking up space, it should be fine.

Our table was outside under the covered awning...we could see most of it fine and it was a blast! (literally - you could feel the heat from the inferno barge!)

Just order a Yard of Ale and drink it slowly ;-) They won't kick you out don't worry.
