I have never eaten here before and thought about trying it out. Is it worth trying or should I skip it? It sounds like a good selection, but does it come to par?
Thanks, Sheena

My DH is English and he loves it. Fish and Chips. Cheese platter. Bangers and Mash. Plus if you go for dinner and time it right, you will have prime viewing for the fireworks! I always find something to eat and they have a good kids menu too.

Lunch last spring was horrible -- greasy, soggy fish; obviously freezer-burned peas; etc. Service was terrible. It will be a while before we return to the R&C.

We loved it! Great atmosphere, nice staff, great food and as the previous poster said, if you choose it for dinner you can tie it in with Illuminations. If you get a patio seat you can see the fireworks from there but even if you don't, you can go out to the patio to watch the fireworks and come back in for dessert when they're over. Great place.

It's usually pretty good. Love the sticky-toffee pudding.

Sometimes I eat there and it's good and sometimes it's just what the above poster said, soggy chips, greasy fish. I am never sure what to expect. I have sort of abandoned it for Le Cellier.

The other places that I thought everyone would like was Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki DR or maybe Coral Reef now that it is 1 ts. I don't know it's so hard trying to find food that will actually be good. Does anyone have any suggestions for places in Epcot, besides Le Cellier, that's #1 on my list?

Ditto...worst meal of our trip in November. Some of the food tasted and smelled like it had been in the refrigerator too long. No one in our party enjoyed their meal.

Rose and Crown is one of our favorites at Epcot. It's not as good as Chefs de France (but, hey, what is?) but better than Le Cellier, which is nearby. My wife swears by the Cottage Pie, while I love when they do their curry dishes. The fish and chips look good too. Dessert is always incredible, especially the blackberry crumble.

We went in the hopes of finding some home-comforts after nearly two weeks away :lmao: :rotfl2:

What a joke that was. Not British food by any accounts.

I'm always amused by what I find at "American cuisine" restaurants abroad as well. It's surely not what I eat! :)

From what I understand, few ethnic restaurants at mainstream venues provide food that is exactly the same as what typical people eat in that specific country every day.

We had dinner there in December and it was really good! I recommend the mushroom appetizer!

We haven't tried dinner, but we did have lunch there in December and really enjoyed it. The cottage pie was very good. My girls liked it so much that I had to make an ADR for our August trip.

We enjoy it here and usually make an ADR each trip. I think the food is good, not outstanding, but worth the trip. I have found the service to be great and the servers warm and fun to talk with.

When was the last time they changed their menu? We always go and my DW loved the roasted chicken(not sure the name) We checked the menu the other day and it was gone. She was so disappointed
