Rose & Crown and Raglan Road - Too Similar?

I currently have both of these booked for June. We haven't been to R&C since 2000 and Raglan Road would be new to us. Are they too similar? I do understand Raglan has dancing and music, thus entertainment and the menus are slightly different. Still, I wonder if I should change one these.

Love to hear your thoughts and recent experiences for these two restaurants. If it helps, we have two kids - DD15 and DS12. Husband doesn't drink but I love beer, wine, Scotch. Husband and son love fish and chips.

Other than nice, wooden bars and some period accurate glass windows and such, there's little the same. RR has a much more extensive menu geared toward Ireland, the R&C basically British and then there's the RR entertainment. We enjoy both, see the pic below, but for different reasons.

You could always cancel R&C and just get fish & chips from the quick service stand at Epcot for lunch. I would then book a dinner at Epcot somewhere else.

For me, they would be too similar for one trip but that's a matter of personal taste. To me, there are just too many other choices in both Epcot and Disney Springs to go for British/Irish twice. My son feels differently, and has both booked for our upcoming trip (RR with me and the family, R&C as a date night while the rest of us go to Spice Road Table).

I enjoyed both on my last trip and didn't even think about whether they are similar. Did the weekend brunch at Raglan Road this time.

On my last trip my first 3 meals were Sanaa, Tusker House and Yak and Yeti. Then I had Boma later in the trip. Good food is good food. Don't worry so much about distribution, eat where you feel like it.

I also did Ohana breakfast one day and Garden Grill the next. When I realized it I fretted like crazy about my bad planning but it turned out to be not a big deal at all and I really enjoyed both.

If the menu/atmosphere of both appeal then do it.

I agree with Lisa F
I prefer R&C over RR but the food is good at both. I think for me, RR tends to drive me away because its very loud with the music and dancing. Especially if you get set near the stage. But I would do both if you want, maybe spread the days out a little.

I had them both booked for our trip last year and did decide they were too similar when there are so many other options. We ended up changing our R&C to Biergarten and keeping the Raglan Road ADR.

One is English and the other is Irish. This Irish girl cannot see what’s similar.

Well, they both have dark wood decor, and they both have bangers & mash, shepherd's pie, and fish & chips on their menus. They have some distinct differences for sure, but when there are SO many varying food options and menus across WDW, I can't blame the OP for wanting to do something different.
