Hey all,

I got confuzzled with the Rose Ceremony. I googled it with the Disboards limiter on and I had two come up. One was a rose ceremony for someone's organ donor. And the other one was one between the bride and the groom. I always thought it was a presentation to the mothers. Someone mind setting my head straight about this? Pictures appreciated, but not required. :goodvibes

Sorry for the umpteenth million question as of late - getting ready for the planning session brings up more questions than not!

Yes it can be either bride and groom or to the mothers.

I've only seen it as a gift between the bride and groom to their mothers (or their mother figure). I would assume thought that you could do it as a way to recognize an important person in your life. I think that recognizing the organ donor was a way for the couple to say thank you on a special day.

We did the rose ceremony with the mothers. Bobby gave my mom a rose and I gave his mom a rose.
