Rose and Crown

Stupid question?? There are three places in the UK to get the Fish and Chips. Is that correct? Are they all made in the same kitchen, hence really the same product for different money? And, can I take my 13 yr old daughter into the Rose and Crown Pub where it seems you get the best of both worlds?

At the UK pavilion there are two places for F&C. You can get them inside at the R&C, or outside at the takeaway counter. I guess if you wanted to count the bar and the dining area inside as two seperate places that would be three total, but I would count the indoor area as one. You may take children inside the R&C. The bar area is very small and crowded most of the time. I had the best F&C outdoors at the counter service.

The adult serving of fish in the dining room is different than that served in the small pub area. It is a single large portion and is served with peas and chips. In the pub you get two or three much smaller pieces served with only chips.

I think counter service is the same as the pub.

The take-out fish was nice and crisp but the larger piece in the restaurant was a little soggy. We enjoyed the outside stand more. I have read other posts that say the same thing.

I haven't had the takeout portion although my husband and one of our kids did. But I agree with you that the smaller portions are crispier. Years ago that is how it was served in the restaurant as well.
