Rose and Crown v.s Raglan Road

I have never been to either and would love to go during my Spring trip. I know Raglan Road has great music at night, but some of the menu items at Rose & Crown thrill me a little more (Bailey's Irish Trifle sounds great). For those out there who have gone to both, which do you recommend? I will be solo if that makes a difference.

Have been to both. We had a really nice meal at R&C. I really loved the mushroom appetizer especially. Personally I like Raglan Road better because there is more on that menu that appeals to me and I like the band which starts to play at 9:00.

I recommend going to R&C since there is more on the menu there that appeals to you. I've found that going to the places where the menus appeal to you are the places you generally tend to enjoy more. I'd also recommend seeing one of the Off Kilter shows in Canda (right next door to England) for a band experience. They are fantastic.

Raglan Road...hands down. No comparison. It's a knockout. Really, the only thing R&C has going for itself is a relatively nice staff and great location for IllumiNations if you plan it right. (I swore I would never eat there again, but we were in a pinch and took the only epcot lunch ADR we could get in August.) We ate at Raglan twice last month.

The menu at Raglan Road is extensive, delicious and original. The apps are amazing (particularly the Heaven on Earth ribs). Plus, you actually get your monies worth there with decent portion sizes for the price. Grab a bar seat, get a GREAT meal and enjoy the lovely bread and butter pudding for dessert.

Another vote for RR here, R&C is more a mid-afternoon stop and cool-off with a beer or meet friends for happy hour place for me.

We also go to RR often and park ourselves at the bar or if it's not that busy, get a table, the live music and dancer are great.

I like both, even though they are very different. If you are looking for a restaurant while you are in Epcot go with R & C and you will really enjoy it. Make an ADR for around 7:30 and ask for a patio table to see Illuiminations. There is maybe a 30% chance you will get a patio table, but if you don't there is a special place that R & C guests can stand to see Illuminations. It is lots of fun.
If, on the other hand, youi are going to DTD, Raglan Road is outstanding.
We make ADR's for about 8:45 so we can enjoy the band and the Irish Step Dancer. The food is great.
If I had to just plain choose between the two, I think Raglan Road would win.

I love Raglan Road and did not care for Rose & Crown at all. Thinking about the rubbery fish there still grosses me out! Frankly, Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding alone is worth a trip to Raglan Road!

Rose and Crown is flat out awful while Raglan Road is pretty interesting pub fare. For me Its like comparing Sizzler with Ruths Chris.
