Can I take my 16- year old daughter there for a bite to eat? I've read that sometimes there is a magician there.

Yes ofcourse you can all kids can eat here! I don't know about the Magician though so can't help there :)

The R&C has a pub, standing room only at the bar, and a few small tables scattered about the pub. I don't remember seeing people eating in the pub section. Basically, saw people have a beer/cocktail -- perhaps waiting for a table to open in the restaurant.

My daughter is 13 and this is her favorite place to eat. We have been seated is all the areas and there is not problem with her being underage at a place that serves alcohol.

Someone posted here some time back that her family enjoyed eating in the pub area. I've never noticed people eating there either but they preferred it. Might have been that it was so easy to get a table???

At any rate, Jodi , our children have been eating at R&C since EPCOT opened and they were very young then. You can check out the menu at wdwig.com.. Sorry I don't kow how to do the link:o !

Jodi, I forgot about the magician part of your question. We've probably had lunch or dinner at R&C about 30 times and we've yet to see a magician. Of course, just because we've not seen one, doesn't mean that you won't.:D

The R&C Dining Room and R&C Pub have very different menus. The R&C Pub is simple and limited bar food (fish and chips, chips alone, a cheese and cracker plate, I believe). I don't know if you can order from the Dining Room menu, because I usually just order the "snack size" fish and chips. This appears to be the same size (and price) serving as the fish and chips from the fish and chips stand next door. Much less expensive than the fish and chips in the Dining Room, but a smaller serving as well. Quite tasty, enough for lunch for one or a snack for two. I have done this for lunch in the pub during each of our last two visits to WDW. It has never been difficult to get a table for lunch or a snack, but I've been stopping there in the early afternoon.

There once was a magician in the Rose and Crown, but its been ages since I've seen him.

The menu for the pub is limited to the "pub offerings" and does not extend to the full menu available in the restaurant.
