my husband, brother-in-law, and I have 7:25 ADRs for rose and crown. We would love to be able to sit outdoors at a table facing the lake for illuminations viewing. I understand that we will not be alone in this desire. I was thinking about maybe checking in early and hoping that might help our cause? I was wondering if anyone here has suggestions for getting these very coveted seat! If we are not able to sit there we will probably still watch from their patio area, and be perfectly happy, we just thought this might be nice. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I would maybe call back and try to get a little earlier. Our personal deadline if 7:10. But sure arriving early couldnt hurt.

Have you considered crossing your fingers and wishing upon a star???

I will keep my fingers crossed for your seating success.

Both times we've ate there, we had a reservation for around 8, got there on time and were lucky enough to be seated outside. There's not really much you can do other than express the desire to sit outside to the hosts at the front. Of course, it's only been the 2 of us each time so that may have helped our chances as it seems many of the outdoor tables are for 2. Good luck! Even if you get seated inside, they allow you to go outside and watch Illuminations from the deck.

Honestly your chances are relatively slim that you get a good seat. BUT don't worry about it. You will be able to go to the patio and view illuminations at any point during or after your meal if you are seated inside. You can grab a beer and watch the show as your waitstaff will have a spot reserved for you. Don't spend too much time worrying about getting a table with a view.

Also note that while you can request a patio seat, you cannot offer to wait for one. You would need to accept the table ultimately assigned, or you will (I understand) be very politely invited to dine elsewhere.

Interesting......that is the first time I have heard that.. is it only to do with requesting to eat outside to see the fireworks or is it in place all the time? I have been seated outside and refused it and asked to be seated inside, of course, it was during a cold snap and I did not want to sit outside, but no one said you can eat elsewhere, they accommodated us.

We were down there in December.. We had timed it to get a chance at an outdoor table. About the time for us to be seated a couple of tables opened up outside. They were empty when we were called, I asked about getting them they said "No your table is inside" I said, but I noticed there were tables outside, that didnt matter to them. The one that popped up as ours was inside, no matter if there was one outside or not. I was not happy. I would've been fine without an outdoor if there werent any available, but there were at least 2 I could see. We didnt stay and every night I wish that the wind is blowing towards the UK so they get smoked out.. Was the most disappointing part of our otherwise great trip.

Also, the outside 'bar' seating is first come first serve, so anyone can sit at it at anytime, and just go and order stuff 'to go' and use those tables also. We almost did that, but at that point I really didnt want to deal with those ......... people anymore.

Offhand, I can't tell you when the policy started - some time last year, maybe? I do know it resulted from SO many people requesting outdoor seating, and being willing to wait. It apparently threw reservations way off - all those indoor tables going unused while Guests continued to wait for the patio?

Even if you do get a patio seat, you might not be able to see IllumiNations very well. We got a seat on the patio but were directly under a large awning. We couldn't see anything up high - we ended up getting up and standing at the railing with a bunch of other people. That's okay - but I was a little disappointed that our view was really obstructed by the awning.
