We got a 7:30 ADR at Rose and Crown, with Illuminations at 9. Will our dinner take long enough for us to still be there to watch it, or will they kick us out? Is it true that even if you don't have an outside table, they let you go out to watch? TIA!

You should be fine as long as you eat slowly. When I went with my parents and in-laws last year, I was very disappointed because we were unable to get PS at Rose and Crown for anything later than 6:30. We ended up sitting down at 6:45 on the far corner of the outdoor verandah. I mentioned to our waitress that this would be the perfect place to watch Illuminations from. We joked that she could take her time serving us so that we would still be here when the fireworks started. She laughed and assured us that we could watch from the "private viewing area" next to Rose and Crown if we finished our meal before Illuminations started. Well, she took her time bringing out each course. We did not mind the long waits between each course. It was 8pm by the time we ordered dessert. Needless to say we had the best seat in the house for Illuminations. :goodvibes

We've had 8pm seatings for Rose and Crown and have had dessert served as early as 8:30pm. Obviously we stayed and enjoyed the show. We weren't kicked out. We were right on the railing, and had a great view, but we were near a few steps and it seemed everyone was sort of brushing against us as they passed by. It also got cool, and I remember it was windy on our last visit so maybe indoors is best. We have an 8pm in April and will try it again. We love it.

I went in Dec. 2004 with a 7:30 PS, and our waitress was the best. We told her we were going to stay for Illuminations (something they must hear EVERY night) and she perfectly stretched out our meal so that we were having dessert during the show.

We get PS's around 7:30 at Rose and Crown every time we go and have never missed seeing Illuminations from there. You will have no problem staying for it.

Yes, they will let you go outside if you are dining inside. And the view is great!

Great! I'm excited :cool1: Now I just hope the food's good. My husband loves fish and chips, so he wanted to go there. A good spot for Illuminations is just a bonus.

Thanks for the info! We're heading down on March 3 and have and ADR for Rose & Crown on 3/4 at 7:40 and were planning to stay for Illuminations.

Thanks again!
