Rose and Crown for dinner with Illuminations

Hoping to pick the perfect reservation time to do this in October. I know it will be a little crazy on the Friday night (10/4) in question. Any advice would be great. When to book, do we show up early, what to request when we show up.

That's a Friday night during F&W so IllumiNations will be at 10PM. Last year it was pretty crowded around the WS on Friday nights so R&C will be busy.

If you want to see the fireworks from the restaurant you probably want a res around 8:30-9:00. You can request a table on the patio, but depending on how busy it is, you may not be allowed to wait and will have to take the first available table. If you're seated inside or at the patio table without a good view of the lagoon let your server know you want to see IllumiNations. Remind them just before 10PM and they will show you to the viewing area adjacent to the patio that is for the exclusive use of R&C diners. It has a very good view.

Unfortunately, they've altered seating policies to be more of a "first available"/ take-or-leave it seating (You can always ASK! )

We had a 7:35 ADR for a 9pm Illuminations, and were eating our dessert as Illuminations was starting. I would suggest checking into your ADR early - we had to wait 20 minutes in line just to check in, followed by another 20 minute wait to be seated. They are very busy at this time due to Illuminations. Our food, however, came out very quickly.

We tried this for the first time last August and it was awesome! A great meal and an excellent view of Wishes. We ate on the "deck" I guess you would call it, it was inside but open to the water as opposed to the uncovered patio. We had a 7:50 ADR and waited a few minutes to be seated. We were served dessert right as Wishes started (9pm Wishes). I plan to do it again this summer, we really enjoyed it.
