My ADR window opens up this weekend and I am hoping to book the Rose and Crown fireworks package for the last day (will be 60+10). We are a party of 5. I have never had good luck with hard to get reservations so I’m trying to strategize. Would we be better off to try to book a table for 6?

I don’t want to waste precious seconds only for the site to come back and tell us there are no tables for 5. But if it’s possible to get a table for 5 that would obviously be our preference.

The algorithm for the ADR system favors even numbers so try booking for 6.
Enjoy your visit.

The fireworks package is a pay at time of booking reservation so doing the 6 would be money out of your pocket now. You need to add people and ages so they charge you accordingly. I don’t think you will have trouble at 60+10. While I didn’t book for 5, I did book for an odd number- 3 with no issues at 60+7.

I did this a few days ago. It works differently than other reservations. If there is availability it takes you to a different screen where it shows a reservation for 1 with the pricing. There's an active + sign and you use it to increase the number of guests. I had no problem getting 60+5 days and also could have chosen 60+4, 60+7, and 60+8 for an 8 night trip. As long as you get it booked on your ADR day, I don't think it's going to make a big difference if it takes you a few minutes or even until mid morning to get it worked out and to see your options since you have an 11 day trip to choose from. I had the best luck starting with 4 people in my search but when I got to the next screen I simply increased my guest count to 8 and it let me book, and pay. This was my first time booking this event so I only have this one experience for July to go on.
